We played well. Tough way to bow out.... Cue calls for Rob Page's head again now.

Well they can call all they like but this unit needs to remain intact and continue to flourish together.

Overall I thought the ref did okay - for once - much better than most of the Johnny Foreigners we have to endure. Although he should have been firmer with their falling over tactics. Unless I missed the sniper somewhere in the stand.

It really looked like Poland were playing for 0.0 and pens. I guess we saw little more than 25 minutes of actual playing time second half.

I see Rob Page has apparently been given the vote of confidence to take us into the next qualifying campaign.

Personally I believe it's the right decision as he's been integrating new players into the squad and has had some huge players departing.
To come within a few inches of qualification was unexpected in some respects given the struggles faced (too many Wales supporters with short memories if they expect us to qualify for every tournament - we've come a long, long way in a short space of time).

I do however expect there to be many discontented voices out there....

Given the tools at his disposal and his preparation for the future, he deserves an extension.
    He's not done much wrong.

Wouldn't mind the Bluebirds playing a style similar to the Welsh team.

He has the support of the team and his staff. To change now before the World Cup campaign could be disruptive and we would risk going backwards.

We will lose a few players, Ramsey, Hennessy, possibly Moore but apart from the latter we are well covered.

If Page can develop another 3 or 4 from last night's bench and bring in a couple more we will be well served. In fact if we pursue the tactics of last Thursday with a very mobile front 3 we may not need a target man.

It appears there was VAR for our Turkey game but the tw@t of a ref didn't use it.

We had VAR this week hence Davies' goal being chalked off as he was a shoelace offside.

Don't know about Mepham's second yellow as it was the other side of the pitch to me. It appeared to be a heavy challenge but he got the ball and, the Polish player was then shot by a mystery sniper somewhere in the Ninian Stand......

Mepham seemed mystified as he trudged off. Much shaking of head and something about the ref being a loony hen. At least I think he said he was a stupid clucker. <whistle>

The rule though is yellow cards can’t be VAR’d even if it leads to a red

I'm not totally sure it was a foul let alone worthy of a second yellow. Very poor decision especially so late on in the game.

Thankfully as it was so late it didn't affect the game result. I assume if pens had gone to the 11th take Ben Davies would have started us off again.

    Wishful thinking......
