I think Supercon was referring to the clear out that he was supposed to have done and was crowned king for........but just allowed contracts to take their course!!
Because the bottom had fallen out of the market no one would buy them, their contracts were pre pandemic so they just ran their contracts down, who’d blame them.
'I think Supercon was referring to the clear out that he was supposed to have done but just allowed contracts to take their course!' In my view, not yours or Supcon, there was no other option. No club would pay money for them.
it is one of those comments that on reflection has a different meaning to both sides of the coin, Your interpretation is that no one blames the likes of JL/ BT for THE PANDEMIC ... but you need to read all comments about that era to find that some didnt believe covid caused the problem. When you have a situation, of a system that works fine and everyone is sort of happy with it, buy in improve / academy taken to Squad level and moved on / etc .... suddenly something happens and that system stops most of its workings you need to look for a reason / cause... and the baseline in this case is COVID interferes with the baseline.... nothing MANAGER UPWARDS CAN OR COULD DO. ..........Even SL made a point sometime after [ late 2021? ] that maybe he/ they should have rode out the storm that followed [ just not only for BCFC ]. NP had a very bad start . from about 1.65 pts a game to virtually 0.15

And RP, you are one of those who don’t think COVID was the reason for our finacial troubles I accept Nige wouldn’t recover what we paid, but too simply let their contracts expire was bad management. If LJ had done that, guys would be all over him, but as I said, you and others gave Nige a free hit - and for me, he only got 2-3 runs from the free hit, not the 4 or 6 that was expected from someone with his experience.

Bristol City supporters will be bemused that 2018 signing went on to better things: View Ryan Kent was also not offered as many minutes as he would have liked by Lee Johnson - he's since gone on to do very well at a higher level https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...t-2018-signing-went-on-to-better-things-view/
The expectancy was high, unfortunately he didn’t live up to it, the total opposite of Tammy. He was arrogant, Which is fine IF you produce, but he didn’t so therefore quickly got everyone’s back up, even it seemed his teammates who appeared to not want to pass to him. In the end we had no choice to not play him as he was negatively affecting results.

Only if they are good enough, Nige was lucky in that department, good that he made use of them though
