I really ****ing hate this place. The weather has always been poor but it's nearly ****ing April and it hasn't stopped raining since ****ing August. The roads are a ****ing disgrace, the NHS abysmal, no ****ing jobs, trains are like you're in ****ing Delhi. Think UK recently came in 26th happiest places.

No debate needed I just needed somewhere to vent about how much I ****ing loathe this country.

I was in England this past week, I thought despite the wind and a bit of rain the weather is nice. Especially compared to Norway

Also, despite the worst and most crippling cost of living crisis since 2008, there were tons of people shopping and using a lot of money. Doesn't look like an economy in crisis.

I think the UK and British people are just especially good at complaining about everything.

My pay has gone up by £120 a month.

My mortgage has increased by £300 a month
My council tax has gone up by £12 a month
My electricity and gas is almost double what I used to pay (rough increase of an average £75 a month)
    Water rates have increased
    Phone rates have increased
Food prices - used to spend approx £80 a week on average, now it’s getting closer to what Obi used to pay.
    Petrol has increased.
Insurance, no matter what for, has increased significantly.

People will still be buying clothes and food and things. I wonder if short term credit has significantly increased?

People will be maxing themselves up to the eyeballs and plenty will implode completely over the coming decades... then anyone still standing will have to work until their ultimate fate is upon them.

Everyone's list of needs in the country is an epidemic waiting to strike. The days of eating oats and bread will return and I'm ready.

Yeah, but all this is standard though, it's across Europe. The Tory's chat a lot of ****, but that they're correct on. Its the same everywhere.

All I know is every expensive store all the restaurants had customers in the middle of working days.

This was the North West, one of the UKs poorer regions.

Woah, woah, woah - your pay went UP?!?!?!?

It's some of the behaviour I don't understand. As was said, cost of living crisis apparently yet shops/roads are absolutely packed at all times of the day. Rush hour has been replaced by standstill hour. Interest rates are high to try and stop homeowners from using their hard earned cash on things like air fryers. Yet significant economic factors like immigration are summarily ignored and avoided. For about 16 years the public have voted for immigration reform, yet nothing happens. So what the **** is voting for?

There's no democracy, no fairness, and just this ever growing capitalist greed that's swallowing this country up.

Roads are ****ed. Government "pledges" £16bn to fix it. But where have they been for 20 years, where are the attempts to stop HGV's using every winding A and B road, where was the assessment into the heaviness of electric vehicles, etc.? There isn't one area you can point at and say "that's better than it was". Education is a ****ing shambles - who decided we needed to trade grades for numbers? The same idiot who decided A* needed to be introduced I imagine, rather than actually doing an effective job of monitoring the university admissions.

Honestly I think the UK "gets by" because we have people so trapped in the capitalist system there's no choice but to just keep working our way out. But if you look at every, single aspect of this nation it's an absolute ****ing disaster.
