As soon as Dan walked up I said to my wife he’d miss it. I know Dan’s fiancée’s family well - gutted for them
I feel for genuine fans like you, but after the way the Welsh players celebrated England losing a few years back, I don't have a lot of sympathy.
Bellingham isn't fully fit after that ankle injury so I'll forgive him for last 2 games, even though he was one if our best players, just below his own huge expectation. We'll need him to be unbelievable if we're to cover up the defence's errors and win the thing
That was Euro 2016 - the Welsh players were in the wrong there. Banter is one thing but that was bang out of order. Personally, I’d want England to win every time apart from when you play Wales
Decent 11 but Foden out of position ? He'll be coming inside alot leaving that flank very exposed. Shaw isn't the quickest even when fit, it could be carnage down that side. So go for 6-5 wins it is !
Hard luck Taff. Wales first penalty shootout they said, we can commiserate with you there after losing more than any other country !
Shaw is quite quick, but I don't think he'll be fit. Foden can move inside like he did tonight and had probably his best England game. Mainoo, Bellingham and Foden were really fluid tonight and it was excellent to watch. Don't suppose any of the Southgate haters will notice that we only played with one defensive midfielder.
Mainoo was superb, if he goes back to picking Henderson or Phillips ahead of him the Southgate should be shot. I wouldn't put it past him though
I'd really liked to have seen Braithwaite play tonight and Palmer. With all the injuries and lack of quality at Centre back, why do you think Braithwaite never got at least a half, after Dunk's exploits and Stones injury ?
Lyndon Dykes couldn't even score against Norn Ireland tonight...Scotland look like they're going to be the whipping boys at the Euros
Not sure. I agree. However, we haven't seen him up close in training. Maybe he hasn't looked great. Mind you.....Dunk!!!
Spot on Taff…. I get the age old rivalry - my father was a die hard and couldn’t support England in the rugby ever. But growing up with no Wales in any tournament meant getting behind England and the other home nations who were there. Gutted after the penalties - Dan did not look confident at all sadly. Will be behind England at the Euros but hopeful that the youngsters in the Wales squad can develop further and make the next World Cup and Euros proving there is life after Bale…
