100% given the injuries we have year on year he’d be superb

Be interested to see who else’s contracts are up in the champ this summer, we’ve picked up some gems on frees before, Dack aside

Definitely yeah good player imo and not a bad age. Be good to get something out of all that time and money we invested getting him ready for Middlesbrough.

He’s a decent player when fit but I wouldn’t take him. I don’t think we need more bodies in those positions. We have O’Nien, Seelt and Triantis who can play multiple potions if needed.
We need a quality DM or CM who is more natural in that role. The only defensive position I would be looking to add, unless someone leaves, is a natural attacking left back. Somone like Burrows from Peterborough.

I've read on here that we need only two or three quality signings, interesting summer ahead.

This squad was challenging last year, really shouldn't require a complete overhaul.

I'm expecting us to lose Clarke, Neil and Ballard which should hopefully raise around 35-45m.

    X2 strikers
    X2 wingers
    X2 centre mids
    X2 centre backs

That seems a little excessive. The squad, and wage bill, would be bloated and it would limit first team opportunities for our younger players.

That said I hope that we dont lose all 3 of the players you mentioned, but, if we did it would be difficult to recruit players of a similar or better standard for the money received.

In my opinion we probably only need 2 more players, along with some better luck on the injury front, to be challenging for the play offs . The problem being they are going to have to be bloody good players.

I reckon we’ll lose Clarke but the others will stay

Get shot of Dack and send Burstow back
Move on Matete, Benette and probs Hemir

High quality required for the following slots:
    Main striker
    CDM

    + additional striker/forward

I agree on Dack and Burstow, dont think Matete is going to make it with us, been unlucky with injuries, but would give Benette and Hemir another season before making a decision on them. That said depends what offers we might get. The people making the decisions see the players every day we are lucky to see them once a week. All about opinions.

John Lundstram from Rangers would be an ambitious addition, he is out of contract in the summer and probably earns around £20k pw, he will probably look to get that again which is likely out of our reach.

Jake Cooper, 29, Millwall, Centre Back, approx £11k pw
Nathaniel Chabolah, 29, WBA, Centre Back, approx £25k pw
Tyrese Campbell, 24, Stoke, Striker, approx £7k pw
Joe Williams, 27, Bristol City, Midfielder, approx £10k pw
Oli McBurnie, 27, Sheff Utd, Striker, approx £20k pw
Alan Browne, 29, Preston, Midfielder, approx £19k pw
Aaron Connolly, 24, Hull, Striker, approx £19k pw
Liam Cullen, 24, Swansea, Striker, approx £2k pw

I really like O Hare and his niggle energy. McBurnie is a ****er but exactly what we need. Leads the line so well.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of these would break our wage structure, unless they'd take pay cuts which is unlikely in most of these cases.

O'Hare will be looking to sign for a premier league team. Got no chance with him.

    I highly doubt we'll lose all 3.

If we did I'd want a hell of a lot more than £35m

Nah, he didn’t want to play for us even though he was part of the 2 relegation squads and after we sorted his rehab.

    Says a lot about him.

I think Alan Browne would actually improve us and I doubt he will get a better deal than he has right now, Chabolah wouldn't be a bad replacement for Ballard and O'Hare, McNair and McBurnie feel out of reach to me, maybe the likes of Mowatt, Cullen, Vaulks, Jordan Thompson, Tyrese Campbell and George Saville would offer something positive to the squad if the terms were reasonable.

McNair, Cullen, Browne, mcburnie (bit of a bellend apparently) and O’Hare (no chance) would all improve us
