I honestly rate Ohio from what I've seen so far. Is he as good as Delap? No. Is Delap currently available for selection? No. I'm not sure why we're trying to craft Ohio into a possession, hold up player when he'd be better off with a ball over the top to run onto. His pace is clearly there and the ball over the top is something we seem to be doing more and more of anyways.

I actually rate him. He’s big, strong and quick and likes to make runs in behind. He is, however, very raw and needs to improve certain aspects of his game. What I don’t understand is why Rosenior signed him on loan for 6 months if he thinks he’s not yet at the standard required for his style of play. Likewise, I don’t understand why he signed Sharp. If finances were an issue, money could’ve been saved and spent on a striker. As good as Ömür is, if money was tight did we really need to sign him and Pandur in January if it meant no money for a striker?

I think it's probably more about how he fits into the shape, his work rate and positioning as opposed to trying to turn him into a completely different player with different attributes.

What players come to the championship mid season and instantly adapt
    Especially younger players

If we see a profit in both of them down the line, and we could get them both for 3ish million combined than that's why they'll have done it.

I don't see a 'proven' champ no 9 similar to Delap being available for that kind of money. You're probably talking 4x that.

Some adapt better than others, but it would be very rare to undergo the churn we've had in both windows this year and for the team to reach full potential in just the 8 or so games since the squad was finalised..

Especially when his home club don't want to sell him.

That's the point for me, they are both pretty pointless signings for those reasons. Why not run with one of our own youngsters instead of Ohio? Sharp was just a baffling one full stop given his age, his impact in his last champ season and his stint in the USA, even more so when you see his wages!

We had/have a fantastic opportunity this season to reach the play offs, just seems silly to not really go for it and bring in goals ( or at least attempt to ) pandur and one of the attacking players we signed in Jan along with Ohio could have been sacrificed and a better #9 option brought in

You might be right but I can't see he's going to get the chance to be useful.

Do you seriously think Rosenior had ever actually seen Ohio play? If was obviously done on the back of scouting suggestions, there's no way Rosie was nipping to Belgium to watch ten minute cameos, at best he'll have seen a few video clips.

Pandur is evidently being brought in to be number 1 after pre season in summer. Giles likely the same as starting left back. Coyle main stay right back. Slater has improved again this season but both him and Morton both look shadows without Seri next to them so we definitely need another Seri bringing in. (Marc Leonard from Brighton hopefully). Forwards is where we need to see the investment in summer but we won’t see that without 1 of Greaves or Philogene going. After recent form I’d much rather it was Philogene as I think he’s reading his own headlines too much.

He had a zoom call with him to try encourage him to come so clearly he wanted him though. Otherwise why would he?

But it clearly wasn't based on an extensive knowledge of his ability was it, it can only have been based on someone else's say so.

Clearly the club identified him and LR had a part to play in signing him.

He's learnt from what? If the recruitment team identify someone and tell him to talk to them, he does it. Same would have happened with Omur.

I don't understand why we persist with 'he' as if he was a traditional style manager. He's not. Recruitment is ultimately down to the DOF, which to all intents and purposes is Tan. Of course Liam will have input, as will Acun, but it's a very different recruitment model to the one you appear to be referring to.
