Great 3 points today. Charlton's game postponed. We have a great shout at going up this year. Given how poor we were last season, this term has been like night and day. Some good summer signings have made all the difference. Can't see how we can compete at the top level now mind. 60,000 at Arsenal today. We mustered less than 750. We need to be looking at how the likes of Arsenal ,manage to attract so many. I know they are one of the top teams, but we should be attracting a lot more than the meagre amounts that we are.
The improvement this season is remarkable. If we go up I'd expect a few games to be at the SoL. They should change it back and include it in the mens season tickets. There's no real parking facilities down there for when the top sides roll into town.
Need to be playing in Sunderland, won't help crowds playing 10miles outside the city. Also needs to be more emphasis on recruiting kids to the games, I barely see any advertising for the games.
Totally agree. It was a daft decision to withdraw that. Parking is poor at Hetton and this may well put a lot of people off.
Not sure what the other women's teams do in terms of tickets tbh. I'd imagine the elite (Chelsea, Man Utd/City, Arsenal and few others) have their own separate season tickets but I would have thought the other clubs have some sort of link to the men's ticket sales somehow.
Good post. Maybe look at using something like Hylton Colliery Welfare ground when we aren't at SOL. The marketing of the lasses games is poor. Agree about getting kids to the games. Maybe introduce a family ticket too.
