Only thing that particularly surprised or disappointed me about that was how open we were defensively. So many times they got in behind us with simple balls. Not something you can usually level at England, and it's a trait that makes it very difficult to go far in knockout tournaments.

Actually, it was a decent watch, both good footballing sides. Gallagher is not good enough and Chilwell had a mare, we looked weaker when Walker went off injured, then weaker still when Bellingham went off. Bowen looked great in his cameo, as did the kid from Man United. We never look as dangerous in the final third when Kane is missing.
One of those occasions I am in complete agreement with you. I think they want to plan on Bellingham being targeted and kicked like he was last night and use him to draw people out of position to create space for others. Jarred will not be a starter but is well worth a place in the squad as he could do a job coming on as he showed last night.
I also very much enjoyed it, despite the loss. People always moan about the Henderson/Mount/Gallagher type player. He was MOTM for me, he did all the unseen side of the game brilliantly.
