If his own money is gaining 5% interest and he can borrow at 4% why wouldn't he ... ... that's a huge difference on £10m. Not that I've seen a shred of evidence that he's borrowed money. Doubtful if he's able to borrow at 4% as loans for high value purchases / capex are at base rate+. I do get the point you are making though.

I know I shouldn't go on, but I can't help having a look. It just amazes me some of their views and comments. There are posters on here that have a totally different view point to myself, but even though I don't agree I can still see where some are coming from. Those lot are just a different breed, I'd love to see about 10 of them after 12 pints having a conversation with what's wrong with the world, it would be comedy gold
It's amazing how quiet things are whenever there's any good news or we win a game ... ... they must have actually rolled their eyes with this announcement. Very sad tbh. Chelsea's pitch was terrible the other night.
Part of the ceiling was cleaned or painted in the north stand/north east corner but then it just stopped. It makes the rest look even worse. On a personal annoyance note…I think we should have put red seats only at the back of the stadium where they are covered, and white at the front. I get that red and white vertical stripes are preferred but it looks ****e when they fade to pink quickly in the sun as is happening again .
What amazes me is the amount of comments made about the SOL and the state its in. I don't think anyone has disagreed about that as a fact. There's been lots of debates about how important they are at the minute. Some people are really angry the PA system is ****, some don't care. However the ones that have complained about it the most are the ones that after today's announcement, are claiming its a publicity stunt to increase renewals. Why the big announcement when all they are doing is basic repairs. I know some people are negative, not their fault just their make up, but **** me if I was so angry at everything my club did I'd start following non league football.
Well I for one, am absolutely disgusted at this announcement. Clearly, the installation of new floodlights and a new sound system in the East Stand means that the East Stand extension is not going ahead anytime soon. This shows a clear lack of faith by KLD, and there are clear signs that he is not here for the long term. Signed Disgusted East Durham It's actually quite easy this negative, attention seeking ****e. Good news always gets buried I am really pleased at this next stage in the plan. I just hope KLD stays around to see it through to its successful conclusion. I can still see good times ahead, maybe not as close as some people would like, but I definitely feel as though we are getting there.
Picking up on the personal annoyance note…I think we should announce the away team sheet sensibly rather than fast low tone that's been adopted these past 10 or so years... a name was mentioned to a cascade of booing. I had to ask the guy next to me what it was all about... he said "Ginger piss biscuit ". I asked if Will Still was in the Directors Box with KLD. How wrong was I?
I was looking at the old Archibald Leith latticework last time I was up and thought it looked a bit sorry. Be nice to keep that in good nick if possible, it is still iconic to some of us old knackers.
