That’s exactly what’s going to happen to Leicester if they go up. Their points deduction will come into force next season and that’s exactly how it should be. There should be a deadline for when points deductions are applied and it should be before the first game of a new season.
But then it’s not levelling the playing field for the other teams around them during the period of non compliance.
Although that wouldn't really be the case anyway as it’s over a 3 year period isn’t it. Last edited 18:05:49 19/03/2024. Reason: autocorrect removed the n’t from wouldn’t.
It’s not perfect but it’s more fair for all clubs involved than handing down sanctions in March that could be later appealed and points added back.
Let’s hope (for them) that it doesn’t turn out like Valencia’s stadium https://theathletic.com/5140375/2024/01/02/valencia-new-mestalla-stadium-world-cup-2030/
I know someone whose daughter lives in Valencia and he spends quite some time there each year. He has mentioned that and the even bigger scandal about the airport that was built. Loves the place. He is from London and an Arsenal fan. Goes to matches in Valencia and laughs at fans here complaining of high, steep stands after being in the Mestalla. please log in to view this image
Stayed in The Westin just up the road and watched a couple of games there, great atmosphere and being at the top of the main stand is not for someone if you suffer nose bleeds!
The new train station there and the whole development is a bit of a farce too. Seems to be a lot of that sort of thing and epic wastes of public fund in Spain.
Oldnews maybe but tip of the cap to the Brighton fans for their reply to Roma fans who had a similar banner in the first leg insulting H. M. The Queen. (They didnt specify which Queen and we've had a few) Pineapple on a Pizza the ultimate insult
Championship play-off final confirmed for Wembley Sun May 26th, day after FA Cup final.... unless Coventry get to both finals in which case the play-off will be put back a week.
****s sake Got my hotel booked for the 26th I know it’s hugely unlikely, but I thought it was quite disrespectful to all Championship teams setting those dates together in the first place
The whole of the stadium is steeply inclined. Makes you smile when one of the reasons the SAG had against putting away fans in West Upper was the high steep slopes up there.
If we are comparing insults I think "you put pineapple on your pizza" is a long way behind "your queen gives BJs"

Mike Ashley is suing Newcastle in a row over £1.533m worth of next season’s kit. He said his former club has “abused its dominant position in the market” by refusing to let Sports Direct sell their Adidas kit for 2024-25.
