Unfortunately he will start 4-5-1 and then with 15 minutes left will go 4-4-2(see). With 12 minutes left will go 4-3-3 and with 10 minutes left will go 4-2-4.
Well we have won twice since new years day ! not once first of all Wigan 4-2, Stoke 4-0. We should go 3-5-2 as they are going 4-3-3.
If Bruce plays this either 1 of 2 things is happening. 1) He knows he is safe and can play this failing formation regardless of the result, without fear of losing his job. 2) He just doenst give a **** anymore If young Ryan Noble or Ji cant break into a team that is desperate for goals, then both of them may as well piss off in January to clubs they can get a game with, or their careers will disappear up Bruces arsehole tactics and cak management. I despair yet again for the umpteenth time this sorry sad year.
Present clubs, from when they started with them, so some will be Championship Football Mancini 59.43% SAF 59.35% Wenger 57.26% Dalglish 54.7% (just this spell, previous spell was 60.87%) AVB 52.63% (only this season) Lambert 52.21% Redknapp 49.69% Rodgers 48.53% Warnock 44% Moyes 41.59% McCarthy 40% Pardew 39.47% Pulis 39.3% Hodgson 38.46% Jol 36% (this season only) Coyle 34.52% Bruce 29.9% McLeish 28.57 (this season only) Martinez 24% Kean 18.18% Doesnt make great reading does it.
Cheers for that BCS. Interesting indeed. Looking at Kean (pay rise) and Martinez (unsackable according to Whelan) Bruce has got to be easy money in the sack race. Hasn't he??
btw that includes Europe as well, was looking at it and thinking Jol with 2 wins is on 36% wtf, but they have played 25 games already and won 9 of them.
Just done this quickly and they are overall career stats. I have included current clubs and other EPL clubs in brackets to give some balance. In order top to bottom Jol 48% (45% Spurs & 36% Fulham) Hodgson 43% (38% WBA, 42% Liverpool, 39% Fulham & 35% Blackburn) Coyle 43% (35% Bolton) McCarthy 40% (40% Wolves & 42% for us which surprised me but includes championship of course) Martinez 38% (24% Wigan) Bruce 36% (35% Wigan, 37% B'ham -inc championship & 29% Sunderland) Kean 19% (19% Blackburn) Martin O Neill btw, for all you doubters is overall 53% win ratio (Celtic 75%, Norwich 45%, Leicester 38%, Villa 42% and Wycombe 46%) Even taking out the Celtic stats for all you cynics, his overall ratio is 43% and his Villa alone stats are 42% in 192 games. However, as Neil Lennon will testify, winning in Scotland isnt that easy and O Neill took over a Celtic team that had just finished 20 points behind Rangers that season. His record in the next 5 seasons was 3 titles (in his first 3 years) and twice runners up, 3 FA Cups, 3 league Cups (not to mention twice being runners up) and UEFA Cup runners up. Now, I defy anyone to say that he wouldnt improve us as a club in the League and potentially some good cup runs which are his speciality.
If only you ran the club... I'm a stats man and if i was looking at that I would sack Bruce. How can you have a manager with a 29% win rate. That is dreadful..
Saturday is D Day. Lose (Can't see it tbh) or draw (Wigan will come for this) and it's surely over. Latest odds say Bruce 4/1 (after Kean and Martinez) to be first premier league manager to go. He will be odds on if we don't win.
AJ - In 97 games we have won 29; drawn 28 and lost a staggering 40 games - thats 41% of his games are lost. We have only gained points in 39% of the games he has been involved in at an average of 1.18 points per game. At that average we can expect about another 30/31 points which will give us 42 or 43 points? Will that be enough? Who knows but then you can always have fun with stats. What I do believe 100% is that under Martin O Neill, we would be sooo much better imo.
No I'd probably make Ricky Sbragia look like Bill Shankly to be fair but I can still have my opinions. I know **** all about fixing cars but I'm a damned good driver and I know a good car form a bad one. Just because none of us have played to the level of Bruce or managed a football team at that level doesnt preclude us from knowing what a bag of ****e looks like when we see it. That said, if Ellis fancies lavishing me with a 3 year contract at £2m pa I'd happily take the job and risk the wrath of you all on here. 'Cest out the fat heeded twat' Lol
