Must have been inspired by Liverpool last night or the opposition the other day . Great way to bounce back .
Wonder how they came up with this name? 15 minutes in and it's still 0-0 - although Lewes had a goal disallowed for offside. please log in to view this image
Played there many times as a player and opposition the ground sits right next to Lewes castle (which was a mott and Bailey castle) the name I believe (was told) comes from the fact the site sits where the foundry of the castle once stood
Must be having a clear-out of unpopular lines? I quite like the maroon/white one, but the other two are awful - I don't know what the club were thinking when they approved the home shirt.
While I agree that the club is not the same that it once was, there were some players who did not fit the model that GT set. Possibly the most spectacular flop was Xavier Gravelaine, who played his first game 20th November and his last the 22nd January. According to Andrew French who was GT's press spokesman at the time, the French international was as surly off the pitch as he was on it. Despite the shortest of stays, however, a profit was made when he was shipped out to Le Harve.
Another bit of clickbait that gets lapped up as truth? . Also another manager who likes possession based football passing out from the back I think.
Certainly wouldn't be what the fans want to see. Trouble is I think most modern day younger managers do like that style as they see the top teams do it forgotten they have the players to play that way.
Also doesn't have a particularly impressive coaching CV. Sacked from his first appointment by Hibs after 4 months, followed by a year without a position. Led Wigan to relegation last season, and, like us, are currently mid-table. Can't see this one happening - we would be far better off keeping TC in my opinion.
Although Wigan were rather hampered by financial issues and points deductions last season but yes doesn't exactly scream out as a manager with loads of potential.
Even without the points deductions - two lots of 3 points - they would have been relegated. They finished bottom on 39 points, 10 points from safety.
U21s playing Bristol City - 40 minutes in and they're behind to a second minute goal. Playing without defender Charlie Stallard who has gone on loan to Bedford Town until the end of the season.
