What make believe? We are all looking at the same situation. We're just seeing it through very different lenses. Unless you know something we don't.
Bored of all the negativity. What did people think of the suggestions in the original post on this thread? Cesc- currently assistant at Como. Won 3, drew 1, lost 1 in a five game spell as caretaker. They're currently 4th in Serie B. van Persie- currently combining first team coaching with being co-head coach of u18/19s at Feyenoord. His first coaching job was under Dick Advocaat. Feyenoord are currently 2nd in the Eredivisie. Yaya Toure- has had coaching jobs at Olimpik Donetsk, Akhmat Grozny, Standard Liege and with the Saudi national team. Also had a spell as an academy coach at Spurs. What about these ones Kenwyne Jones- currently Head Coach of the Trinidad and Tobago women's team. Henning Berg- has managed Lyn, Lillestrøm, Blackburn, Legia Warsaw, Videoton, Stabæk, Omonia Nicosia, Pafos, and is currently manager of AIK. Overall win percentage of 45.97 Sylvinho- has managed Lyon, Corinthians Paulista, and is currently manager of Albania. Some of them don't have impressive management CVs but are big names in the game. None of them are likely to be our next Head Coach but discussing their merits is more interesting than constant squabbling about things that no one knows did or might happen.
If whoever took those pictures had been able to keep their powder dry, we would only have found out on the day. The signs were up.
Watching us struggling in the premier League then short pulling out. Falling through the leagues with the threat of bankruptcy and oblivion was gut wrenching. SD, CM and JS were a glimmer of hope as we bottomed out thankfully in league 1 and not lower but it turned sour. During those dark days, if someone said there's a young billionaire with foreign football connections going to take the reigns, get us promoted back to the championship and finish in the playoffs the first season, but may struggle to reach them the next due to changes in coaching staff, Who the fùck wouldn't of ripped their arm off ??? As for the black cats bar, I'm more concerned with the recent run of form and hope (i can't stand it) for a decent coach to come in. If anyone is bothered about black and white shìte around the ground, go and get the Davey lamp opened up and pull the shìte out of that fooker While you're there, there's a statue of a bloke, arms outstretched wearing a trilby.
Or, they were discovered on the Thursday on a walk through and immediately pulled. Then the pictures were released...
Is there really a hatred for KLD ? I am not seeing or hearing any hate towards him apart from on here and other social media sites, by and large I think people are pretty happy with his ownership "so far " The crowds we are getting are the hardcore support and I think the slight dwindling of the crowd recently is mainly down to the recent recruitment, it has been poor but thats on KS. I am fairly sure that will be dealt with in the summer as its proven that poor coaching / management with the 1st team has resulted in swift decisions as we seen with TM & MB. In the eyes of the ownership Mowbray & Beale failed so were sacked, surely that rule of thumb will be used when the dust settles at the end of the season and a review of recruitment is taken. KLD has put money in for recruitment its how its been spent thats the problem, there are 9 of us each match day, all season ticket holders and only 4 of us went on Saturday and that was mainly down to not enjoying whats been served up recently, me personally I cant see the point in paying for a season ticket and not going to the match and I told the lads that on Saturday but thats their choice. I think we will see big changes this summer and I do think KS will be shown the door, if anything the ownership are proven to be calm and collective but the recent poor decisions appear to have been made by KS and for that alone I think he has to go. KLD is a breath of fresh air for me but does he really want the agro is probably the question he is asking himself at the moment.
There's anecdotal evidence posted on here that people have stopped going because of KLD. The few people that I'm still in touch with that have season tickets don't seem to have any problem with him though. There seems to be plenty of hate for him on here and in the fanzines. Like I say, I don't get it.
I still like Cesc but not for us now. I think we need someone more seasoned. Same alplies to Van Persie. Berg is a really interesting shout mate.
There'll be Mags in the bars again, and over the ground, for the Bruce Springsteen concert. Keeping the BCB closed would've deprived people of a shift at work I've no doubt they'd appreciate. Calling people scum, vermin, etc, isn't a good look imo.
I think Will Still is the desired target, he’ll cost a lot less than the €4.5m clause (expires in the summer) he had in January too.
I think he's the only realistic one out of the three I added to your list. I was trying to think of people that would make interesting talking points. At Omonia, he got them very tight in defence and relied heavily on local players coming through, which is unusual in the Cypriot league. Swedish season starts at the end of the month so he'll have done a full pre-season with AIK which might make it difficult to get him.
Rumour I was given last night is that KLD is currently involved in the selection/interview process but everything is being done away from the ground and Sunderland ... ... the bookies aren't pleased
