    Another latecomer to this shindig but I'm an actor and part-time soap shop worker. Just finished the first leg of a tour of Joseph and starting again next month in Guildford. So if anyone has kids or grannies and want to come and see a show then I promise it's good! Not coming to the North East on the next leg sadly but we do go all over and I know everyone on here is quite far flung. If anyone's interested here are some of the dates.

    The Famous Three Kings is a good pub. Get there early for a seat or a place at the bar as it gets busy and service can become slow.

    I was thinking more like I sit around and do nothing and occasionally make blu-tac penises for my mate's keyrings. We also had a little dalek sucking him off.

    I had an interesting letter frm the police when I just left uni a few years ago... It said. " you have Passed the national standard for the application but unfortunately Northumbria police are only looking to recruit those of a diverse ethnic background"

    As if this this is bad enough on the application for it actually says at the top of the page when you fill in personal details eg race, age, sex etc.. "this page will be detached from your application and will not form any part of the recruitment process" !

    But is was a blessing in disguise really as have a much better job

    I think that's absolutely disgraceful. I'm all for diversity in the workplace but I'm also a firm believer in the best person for the job should get the job. In this day and age, the fact that your ethnicity can contribute to you getting a job or not is utterly shocking.
