I wouldnt take advice from someone like him in a million years frankly. I would like to think if they want advice they go to folk much more clued up. If bridges arent burned Mowbray would be a brilliant sounding board.
The calls for Keane constantly make me laugh. It's 18 years in August since he was appointed here, I see nobody calling for Steve Coppell to get the job who got the championship record point total 19 years ago.

I’d want someone with a bit of recent experience of working in this division or the premier league advising us.

Not saying it’s not true because how would I know but that tweeter is the fly me to the moon lad who used to post on here and just constantly fish for rumours both here and apparently on RTG

It's absolute nonsense from an accomplished WUM ...

... he specialises in claims he knows people can neither deny or confirm.

"Have you stopped beating your wife?"

Are people really calling for him ...

... there's as much chance as Eric Roy coming <laugh>

I've already stated I'd be against it earlier this week.

You really, really dislike Keano, don't you! Never miss a chance to stick the knife in :emoticon-0102-bigsm. Fair enough. Personally, I think he's great. I doubt very much he'd take the job now and, if he did, I'd have severe misgivings about how well it would go under the current circumstances too.

Still though...he did get us promoted to the prem and then keep us up before he hoyed his toys out the pram. Must be worth at least a little bit of respect in terms of managerial credentials?:emoticon-0105-wink:

Does Graeme Atkinson state how many of those sides were relegated from the PL the previous year through not being good enough ...

... and does he state how many are promoted and typically come straight back down?

Err no, didn't think so.
True, he's using promotion statistics to suggest there's the correlation between the average age of a squad and how successful it is.

As you point out this isn't an accurate reflection as there's plenty of teams who buy older experienced players and end up in trouble on and off the pitch.

If only there was a way to prove a very young team increases the likelihood of relegation...

Fulwell End was the home end.

The North Stand is now where the away fans go.

The South Stand in now regarded as 'the singing end' and home end.

Or am I wrong, anyone?
I sot in the North Stand and don't feel as if it's the home end and agree that the South Stand is more the home "singing" end (although they seem to gave gone quiet recently).

If three times means 'constantly' you've got that dead right ...

... still, pleased you noticed.
What? Look on twitter, look on Facebook, look on here, look on smb, anytime we need a new manager/head coach Keane is one of the first mentioned every time. Last week he posted an instagram post with OGS and Sunderland twitter went crazy for it.

Sorry, that was a misunderstanding mate.

I thought you meant me when I've already stated I wouldn't want Keane.

To excuse people who are saying they want him I'll be kind and say what they actually want is what his time represented ...

... that was a climb from despair, loads of money spent and promotion to the PL.

I can't argue with that tbh.

Guilty as charged mate <laugh>

It is a bit irrational as well, I admit. But my dislike is deep and heartfelt <cheers>

Let me start by saying he put on the best display as an opposition player I saw at the SOL when we drew 2-2 just before xmas way back. We had them on toast for 35 mins and McCan was all over him. He flicked a switch and was immense, just immense. So no doubting his playing ability.

But...

The tackle on Haaland was an awful thing. His career is littered with his little tantrums or pretendy hardman nonsense, that boiled over into danger. I mgt terms I think he is a walking failure personally. He built great momentum with us, having had the luxury of buying a bunch of battle ready players he knew. Once in the prem it wasnt pretty imo. He bottled it by walking out for me. Just like he bottled the world cup with Ireland. Then he made a mess of Ipswich big style, and was even a good number 2. He is notorious for falling out with folk.

I think he just has the sort of personality I dislike. Comes across as a bully. In my playing days I would have been getting after him all day on the pitch, just because of his attitude.

Anyway, no offence intended. Cant take his promotion here away from him. Just would rather have Beale back than Keane <laugh>
