So what will you do? Pick it up and take it somewhere else? Or are they the sort of garage that do the work and then tell you how much they're charging?
No I am waiting for a call to pick it up, then will look elsewhere to get the work done the trouble is we hardly use the car. It just sits there and I take it for a run out now and again, I am trying to convince her to sell it as she is in Paris most of the time! But she has said she wants to store it in our garage, but there is no space but she won't listen!
Al Do they have a car club at base , pay an MT mech to do the work and buy the spare parts of the net! £200 should be more than enough!
funny that they never do , let it sit in the garage for a couple of years let it depreciate and then she will decide its time to sell it!
Blimey, times have changed! I worked at Somerset House for a while when it was a hotbed of Civil Servants - never had an ice skating rink then. Nor a tearoom come to think of it - very odd for the Civil Service! Although there was a little bar that sold extremely cheap Guinness Atrocious weather up here today - just got home from work having had to dig my car out of the snow in a school carpark.
Back from the hospital and all good news, all looks perfectly normal so it looks like it's IBS. So trying to find out what triggers that in Mrs W_Y is the next step....off out for a couple of pints
Maybe it's the regular couple of pints........... I know that if I go out for a couple more than once a week, my wife gets irritable! Maybe I should be posting this on the health thread - but I've put up with IBS for a few years now & find the only thing helpful is a drink of yakult every morning. May be worth a try.
Blimey - I worked at Somerset House - for the Inland Revenue back in the early 70s - I was one of those Civil Servants - did not have anywhere that sold Guinness then that I can remember - but the was a nice little wine bar called Balls Brothers we would "adjourn" to if we were not at the nearby "Coal Hole" on the Strand. Certainly it was before the Ice Rink
Very chuffed, my 15 year old son has just told me he has organised his first away game off his own back. He and a school friend are going on a club coach to Blackpool on the 17th dec. They have to get to the Vic by 8.30a.m. from Oxford and then be picked up at 11?-12p.m. He has been a season ticket holder with me for the last 5 years. This year however he has obtained a saturday job so we have been unable to get to the games. I am so pleased that he has maintained his passion for the team. As he said .-Once a hornet always a hornet.
Cheers BB - Only problem is that Mrs W_Y has an intolerance in dairy, do they do a Goat to Sheep version? Mrs W_Y is fine with me going out as she cracks on with her Uni assignments in peace... Somerset House is now a venue of culture with exhibitions & concerts - at Xmas, the courtyard is turned into an ice skating rink. So an afternoon there and then over to the Xmas market on the south bank and the a walk along Regent Street to take in the lights....
