Sloppy start. United look fired up for it, much more open than anticipated. Pressing us a lot more than thought they would. Just got to get through first 15-20 mins here.
Really poor. Wonder if Mark Clattenburg will go into ref room to ask why it was a foul in middle of park when player dived though.
How was that offside then? Ball gets played in, United defender heads the ball down into the ground under no pressure and somehow someone is offside?
Silly yellow. Absolutely nothing Mac could do as player just steps across into him. So much room on the counter for us. Need someone to go play between the lines though. United defence dropping so deep leaving huge gap for someone to get into
They're adapting the tactic I've previously said teams should take against Man City; defensive and attacking players with no midfield, just go long into the channels every time
It’s how they’ve played all season. Carragher showed clips from numerous games this season where pressed high from the front but defence so slow they drop too deep so leaves big old gap
Feet miles onside, shoulder off. Gaining a huge advantage there. Sooner they change this offside rule the better for the whole game.
