I DO live amongst the mags but I don't converse with them unless I absolutely have to. I work with Wolves, Brighton, Plymouth, Arsenal & Swindon fans. Couple of mates are Bradford and Stoke fans. All of the have commented at some point this season asking what's going on at the club - sacking Mogga, appointing Beale, the BCB fiasco, selling all the experienced players, sacking Beale, Pritch refusing to play etc etc Not saying all of their opinions are a) negative, or b) valid but the good things that the club were getting recognised for are slowing drifting away and we are getting more attention for being a bit of a shambles off the pitch. Add to this the ticket office issues, the club shop, that season where season cards were shoved in white envelopes are posted out a couple of days before the start of the season. We've been run poorly for a number of years now and the on-field stuff has largely masked in (in the last 18 months anyway) I think a club of our size and stature could and should be doing better
It'd be good to see some early progress - some quick wins to restore some faith (not to mention some wins on the pitch )
Believe me mate, I want progress but, for the life of me don't believe the club are oblivious or don't care about the same things as us. They need financial income from gates, merchandising, sponsorship, etc, and, I've no doubt, want promotion every bit as much as we do. I just don't get this idea that the club are, for some reason, working against the supporters or avoiding the PL for financial gain.
Yeah luckily the ****e below us is really really ****, still won’t relax until it’s mathematically certain like
Blackburn went down with 51 points in 2017, but this season they have the toughest run in i reckon Rotherham, Blackburn and Sheff w to go down.
I think you may be right, Blackburn are a club in crisis ... ... mind you, Stoke and Birmingham are both a shambles of a club. Stoke had one effort on goal and were booed off the pitch again by those who made it to the end of a 3-0 drubbing ... ... their manager, apparently, is equally hated by the players and supporters.
The problem is Stoke, not Schumaker in my opinion. I dont say this lightly, but we may well be the problem too, not Beale...
Model is ok, needs a bit of a reset, but in principle ok. My view is too little influence allowed to the coach, we have gone too far away from a middle ground approach to recruitment.
