Why does everybody seem to ignore the fact that we have TWO international strikers available for the Wigan game - Bendtnar and Ji.

If it's to be 4-4-2, why all this crap about using Richardson centre up front !

Play TWO recognised strikers for f***'s sake !

    Westwood

    O'Shea Brown Turner Bardo

    Larrson Vaughan Gardner (Colback) Sess

    Bendtnar Ji

    SIMPLES !!!!!!!

Although Ji looks weak as piss, given service he would knock in a goal or two. Midfield is the key. Catts and Colback are not creative enough, Ricco will fanny around as usual, Gardener is out of favour. Not sure what's happened to Vaughan. So defo. Larsson and Sess after that no idea.

  3. I don't understand why you keep on playing Cattermole, he's not creative at all and not really that successful when it comes to winning tackles, he's just really aggressive.

That line up is extremely harsh on Richardson! He's been a lot better than some of your other players in the last few weeks, would ruin his confidence to boot him out of the team now.

Do you think Fergie worries about hurting players feelings - success at all costs is his moto!

I would drop Cats and Oshea for this game.

Ricco at LB, Bardo at RB, and Vaughan in for Catts (if recovered from the groin "niggle").

If we play 4-4-2, I would say play Bendtner and Noble up front swap Ji in for Noble when he is tired or if he gets pushed around too much.

Dont bank on two forwards for this game or 4-4-2 for that matter, Bruce will put out a team to avoid defeat, not to win the game........

Peter Lovenkrands has 22 caps for Denmark. Does that mean we should play him as well?

This 'international' tag is fairly useless. Regardless of their status, it may simply be that they're not playing well enough to be started in Bruce's eyes.

I agree to some degree but rather than play a slightly jaded striker he would rather play a make shift goal scorer ie Richardson as some sort of experiment!

I believe this is the reason for the lack of goals and wins!

Whilst I disagreed with the original notion, I don't deny that Bruce is a bit stupid. I suppose it depends on what he sees in training from the likes of Ji.

    Better news:

Sunderland striker Fraizer Campbell could be just 10 days away from a return to action.

The luckless 24-year-old has completed another week of training with the senior squad after returning from his second serious knee injury in as many years and manager Steve Bruce is hoping he can get some football under his belt before becoming available for first-team duties once again.

Bruce said: "The good thing we can report is that Fraizer Campbell has come through another week of training with the first team."

He added: "Touch wood, at the moment he looks remarkably good for somebody who has been out for the best part of a couple of seasons.

"We hope he can play in a game in the next 10 days or so, and let's hope we can get Fraizer Campbell up and ready. That would be a massive boost to everybody because he has been out that long, we have forgotten what a very good player we have lost over the last few months."

Campbell joined the Black Cats from Manchester United for an initial ?3.5million during the summer of 2009 and scored seven times in 36 appearances for the club during his first season.

However, he tore a cruciate ligament just four games into his second campaign and then suffered a recurrence of the injury in training on his return.

His loss has been compounded by the departures of fellow frontmen Darren Bent, Danny Welbeck and Asamoah Gyan, and Bruce admits his return cannot come quickly enough.

He said: "Fraizer Campbell is a very, very good player. We hope he can shake off the injury. He has been out for the best part of two seasons, which has been tough for him.

"But I have to say the way he has trained and the way he has played, his infectious enthusiasm around the training ground is a joy to watch for somebody who has been badly injured like he has. He will give the whole team and the whole club a lift if he can get back to playing the way he was."

Well done Fraizer. Quick as you (sensibly) can mate. Looking forward to seeing you in action.

I just hope and pray he can come back with the same form and pace he once had. Those 2 injuries were horrific and career threatening and must have taken something out of his game. He is young which is a benefit as he will heal quicker but I wouldnt be in too much of a hurry to rush him back and also would still target a main striker in January in case he cant make that comeback?

wtf is the point is buying another striker?

Bruce only plays 4-5-1, and ignores the strikers we currently have at the club - another one would just be another body on the wage bill.

see, I can have a go at Bruce as well ;)
