It gives me no pleasure to say so, but Wales are awful.

Just when Wales finally gets into Italy's 22, one idiot commits a head roll.

    Excellent 2nd Italian try

Italy definitely turned a corner. Should have beaten France and England too.
Wales are a team of kids. It will take a few years to rebuild. They may take a few wallops on the way

Bye bye George North, from internationals at least, off to France for a final payday.

An occasionally great player, I can never get past the 4 huge head injuries he had in quick succession in 2014/15 which would have seen him told never to play again if he was an amateur. He’s had more since, including one against Scotland last year where he was shockingly allowed to play on after his HIA, despite having clearly lost consciousness on impact.

I sincerely hope he gets to live a long and healthy life once he does retire. Likewise Johnny Sexton, who may have had 30 concussions according to his club doctor at Racing 92. Sexton gets very angry when this stuff is discussed.

Ireland beginning to dial it up at the start of the second half. They need to.

Well done, Ireland. Champions. Scotland made a fight of it, but always second best

Congratulations Ireland. Despite the English result clearly the best team in the tournament.

Next game will be interesting to see if the French really have lost it and whether the progress shown by England against Ireland can be consistently delivered.

Well done Italy as well, huge steps forward with 2 wins and a draw.

Odd feeling for you? A deserved championship but the Grand Slam must have been the target. I think people underestimate how difficult a slam is, but this was a big opportunity given your overall superiority.

Bit of a flat tournament overall though.

I wish we had more games against the southern hemisphere teams.

No idea what’s going on but I won a couple of hundred on the City game so backed France to win comfortably as they seemed to enjoy their national anthem more.

They could rotate which one is in the six nations and bin off Wales who have proven to not be worthy. Wales themselves can play a second division six nations against Georgia and the like.

France’s front row have clearly been on the Taylor Richards diet.

    not at all, I’m thrilled.
It’s only in the last 15 odd years that we’ve become consistently competitive. Slams are like hens teeth. We just have a generational team at the moment and I’ll take any win that comes our way.
When you look at the points difference for all teams, it clearly indicates that we’re playing good attacking rugby. Really looking forward to the summer tour to South Africa. That could be awesome.

    Wales 14 Italy 24.
He's already given away a penalty by running into trouble.
Very talented, but can be a liability imo.
    Fantastic French try.

If England can keep the intensity high, France will tire, they always do
