Well so far no sacking has really improved the side they have left or indeed gone to
worst is Sunderland ........just lost 6 on the bounce from 7!
Stoke still languishing along with the ex manager from Plymouth
Bristol City slipping slowly into the bottom zone!
Birmingham struggling to regain the top 10

wonder where they may have been if left to get over the problem / or lack of problem the owners seem to have identified!

oh of course NW dumped by huddersfield! .............. now bottom 3

I think I'm right in saying that all 12 clubs in the bottom half of the Championship have changed their manager this season.

Apart from the stupidity at Sunderland in 12th spot, all the top half clubs have the same manager with which they started the season.

Well spotted OS ... Blackburn havent.. Plymouth didnt want to ... BCFC & Sunderland [ technically on points are in top 12 , ] Millwall and Sunderland [ Mowbay left them on 9th on 27pts 3pts short of 6th Beale was 4pts short short!!!! ] twice!
Sunderland owner is only about 25 and has sacked 3 or 4 [ all while in the hunt for top 6! ] with disasterous results ]

    ps has sacked 5

Also JGF, BCFC are not in the top 12 - nothing technical about it. GD is good enough for a place differential.

the only time GD counts for real is the end of season .. yes it does allow for an ordering of the league from games 1 to 45 .. but next step down / up after GD ...IS ETC ETC ETC

Yep Eustace took the reins in Feb? but the previous manager left by mutual consent to become his home countries manager .. so yep a change of manager .. but not sacked!

JGF - my post #2 clearly says "the bottom half of the Championship have changed their manager this season" - I didn't say sacked, that's your word.

Sacked / mutual agreement amounts to the same thing in football. Do you really believe he went without being pushed?

His well published disagreements with the owners and their ban on him speaking to the after match press precipitated it.

Aslo he's managing Sweden not his home country - he's a Dane.

Agree OS. I liken that to some on here also saying, we were only a couple of points of the play offs when Nige was sacked, but we were 15th. If the season ended there, the history books would show we finished 15th.

Why would the season finish there!! the season is 46 games long and we had only completed 14 games thats 14 of the first 23 what history would show is the season was abandoned!
what history currently tells us is that ...........
3 teams on 18 points 1 with + 2 GD and 2 with -1 GD.... but the 2 on -1 PLACED ALPHABETICALLY ! !.......... What history also tells us is that now it is 37 games played and the other 2 teams are on -12 & -16 & BCFC is still on -1 ! ..............

No I understand what you are trying to say but the reasoning is all wrong.... when something ends it is because it is the end of of a chapter, if it continues beyond, it ends when the criteria is reached, in this example 46 games. The rules of the league are that after 46 games then the positions are are confirmed. ............ points ... GD ...... then goals scored, and then their head-to-head record for that season (including away goals record). If two or more teams finish the season equal in all these respects, then teams are separated by alphabetical order, unless a promotion, relegation, or play-off place...................
