Thought that second pundit had Liam sitting uncomfortable watching his body language. He was asking some great questions.
I wouldn't say LM was uncomfortable, rather he was thinking about his reply and giving a genuine answer, quire refreshing
It’s weird as some on here think he’s grey and boring but I don’t, I quite like that he’s real and level headed.. I really hope that he’s allowed time at the club, seems to know what he wants in a team and has a football intelligence on how to progress forward.. Really open minded on how he sets his team up. Like you say Raver… refreshing
Unfortunately LM has got a real job on his hands judging by the fans on OTIB. He's an alien, a robot and they're ridiculing his buzzwords, 'behaviors', 'Southampton', 'time on the grass', 'emotions' etc etc. The poor sod is getting unnecessary stick all brought on him by Tinnion and JL. LM has zero charisma and I dislike his verion of Pepball but that is down to the quality available for him to select. It'll be down to JL to back him or hang him this summer. For me he seems a decent guy and deserves to be given a fair amount of time before folk cast judgment.
He comes across as a robot -programmed to say certain things in a certain way-his personality is like his football as flat as a pancake.
RR I can't disagree.........at the moment. I'm in a different camp believing and hoping with time and quality summer signings he'll be successful. I hope I'm right but that's all we City fans have ever had.
One thing I have noticed which LM needs addressing, when we fall behind..for some reason we aren’t able to turn it around. I think against Forest in the cup was the last time.
I thought that about Nige most of the time tbh. For me, LM wants to think, act and as a result talk as a more modern progressive coach/manager, as did LJ. One was pillared to an unacceptably bad level by some fans, the other seems headed the same way, yet the majority were happy with the old dinosaur approach under Nige - interesting…..
Some fans hound young, ambitious managers who want to be progressive, yet celebrate old fashioned, ‘dyed in the wool’ type manager. And then they wonder why we don’t progress as a club
Don’t you know, that’s not his fault it’s the players, he gives them the tools to do it, once they cross that white line there’s nothing he can do about it. It’s all about behaviours.
we have had plenty off upstarts and never got anywhere with them. GJ was the closet to the promised land a dinosaur as you call him and Cotts was the next best thing a dinosaur as well I suppose you would call him. Reality is these young kids should not be at city learning their trade. They should be doing that with lower level teams. We for the first time in my following off Bristol City brought a manager with pedigree in -then the clowns running the show decided to get rid and bring another rookie in Now we have a divided fan base Brian Tinnion having to back his recruit for me that is a one way slippery slope. Rumours players don’t respect a non playing rookie who is telling them how to play the game. Only at Bristol City can this happen.
What rumours - don’t just make $h1t up to suit your narrative. We all agree that Nige was brought in for his pedigree, but, he didn’t deliver on the pitch, and no signs he was going to 2.5 years down the line. Get over it and move on.!!
He was doing alright at Oxford. Yes - a lower division - but impressive nonetheless - and everyone (myself included) loves Steve Cottrell who did well in league 1 but struggled in the Championship - some say he wasn’t afforded time and money - but we were in the bottom 3 when he was sacked. Many of the same are calling for Mannings head now - whilst saying we should have been more patient with Cotts.
