Second choice keeper. Third and fourth choice CBs (fourth and fifth if you put Matip above them) Second choice RB Kid in midfield. Gakpo and possibly Endo aren't first 11. It's not that strong a team. Our squad is just so good right now that it feels like it. I don't think I can ever remember us having this strong a squad.
Keller - first choice available keeper gomez and Quansah - 2nd and 3rd choice available cb bradley - 1 first choice available rb clark agreed he’s one of the changes I expected gakpo - agreed not first choice. me do - is first choice with mac and szobo.
Depends a bit on what you mean by strong. In terms of available players it's fairly strong, though we still had the likes of VVD, Mac Allister, Diaz and Elliott on the bench. It's a world away from out first 11 when everyone's available though. Is Endo first 11? Our first choice midfield seems to be three out of Mac, Dom, Endo and Jones. I haven't looked but I'm guessing there haven't been many games where all four have been available.
Anyway, there's no such thing as A First Eleven any more. We have a squad from which say 14 or 15 would be considered starting options according to tactics and rotated during games even if all were fully fit..
Be difficult to say the better team didnt win on the night but this is a touch of class from their coach . Can hold their heads as the first game they were trying and caused problems for sure. Defensively we were shaky at their place and scoreline could been alot closer coming to anfield.
Endo has been a blessing to us this season. As the saying goes, "every disappointment is a blessing in disguise".I will not mention name but I believe you know what I'm talking about.
I was quite pleased to see a strong team selection which also looks, from the other team's perspective, like you are respecting them, (not that that was Klopp's reasoning). A little bit annoying that TNT were too busy showing a replay for the second time, during live play, that we missed Clark's goal in real time. His intensity, for his age, is impressive as was the way he pounced for the goal. Actually all the youngsters are showing real focus and determination. I've gone from being a bit nervy if we play a couple of them to being excited to see what they can do. I would have liked to have seen Danns and Koumas again last night because I'm pretty sure one or both would have scored.
Thought went without saying that when talking about a line up and saying it’s stronger than I thought that it wasn’t going to include a load of injured players Tbf. Even then I’d say a current team of Kelleher Bradley Gomez is stronger than a team of Ali TAA and Konate given the later 3 can’t run atm
I only watched the highlights but even on them the 2nd goal only cuts to it when ball is hitting back of the net. I get on live tv they have the replays over live tv but surely on the highlights you’d use the picture of the live game for it unless that’s just not how the cameras and feed works. Found it very odd
they were decent back then. I think thry had a bad start this season but recently look to be in form.
can't see west sham beating leverkusen personally. u think they play at the London snorebowl first as well so you can almost see this going back to Germany and falling apart on moyes.
It was the other way around actually. At home our lineup was - Alisson, N Williams, R Williams, Matip, Tsimikas, Milner, Wijnaldum, Jones, Salah, Mané, Origi.
