For me there’s one constant in this season and that’s Dodds as I’ve said before he must know this lot inside out so hopefully despite our injuries he can pull something out the bag, I’m hoping for the win cups still half full don’t get all this putting this young Side down it’s what we’ve got and hope we get behind them Saturday KTF we go again next season sorry forgot to mention the great thread RTB cheers

I agree but, having played at a decent level, can say that things can turn on a single flying tackle.

Equally QPR's confidence can collapse just as quickly, they're at the bottom for good reason.

Keep signing players who are not ready for the physical demands of the championship, and then don't really have top level prehabilitation then this is the outcome.

Rusyn has played enough minutes to know anything about the physical demands of the championship

That's not the issue in the short term. It's signing players who are physiologically experienced to cope with he demands of the championship and it's frequency and intensity of games. Keep signing players from academies with minimal senior experience and or players from leagues aboard then they are going to pick up injuries quicker.

Plus, the sport science area of the club needs sorting. Been the same for years.

I remember saying at the back end of last season, I would be just as happy to hear the club had ploughed several million into technology to help prevent injuries as i would be if it was spent on a player. Admitted I knew very little about the subject but I remembered when BSA was at the club he added a team that monitored the players all the time and would adjust the intensity of their routines to lower the chance of an injury as required!

You agreed and said it basically went out the door with Allardyce and hasn't been brought back since.

Here we are tail end of the season again with injury after, injury and I assume still no improvements in this area.

It frustrates me not knowing much about the subject must annoy the hell put of the posters on here who know a lot about sports science etc...

We are in trouble when you are hanging our hats on Mike Dodds.
It's absolutely crazy this bloke is anywhere near the top job at any championship club let alone SAFC imo.

Stinks of accepting mediocrity (at best if we are lucky) and couldn't be further away from the corporate bull of speakmans high performance culture.
