We've not fallen below 20K in the league since November, with price reductions and being on the fringes of the playoffs it's a shame the stadium isn't a little bit bigger for the run in.

I said over the past few season. This is a useful site, shows averages, highest and lowest crowd each season. There was one game where their attendance was 20 or so over the capacity. That happened with Reading as well. http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/norc.htm

I have 3 empty most weeks in E10 because my wife, daughter and nephew are light weights and leave me and the lad to it.

We're still giving away a lot of freebies which is obviously great as it fills the ground, but we're not ready for a bigger stadium just yet ( I know that wasn't what you were saying ) I hope those getting freebies continue to come as paying fans when the freebies stop

Half price isn't a freebie, but yes it encourages first timers and we all want to retain this new generation of City fan, we've lost too many whole generations far too many times before. Great to see the excited young 'uns at the Leicester game who won't have ever seen us higher than this level before.

I didnt say half price tickets are freebies, I ment exactly what I said.... we're still giving away lots of freebies and that hopefully when those freebies stop, they come back as paying fans.

You're right though, it's great to see youngsters excited to be at city

I don’t think there is a ‘standard’ for capacity as in what each club defines their stadium capacity at nor is there one for how a club collates and announces its attendance figures.

It’s possible and probably likely one clubs ground capacity could be the theoretical max capacity of actually usable seats excluding ones lost to segregation whilst the next club could have its claimed capacity as every single seat regardless of whether it can be used or not.

Likewise attendances, one club may count everybody in the ground including staff, emergency services etc, one may only count tickets sold, another may count entries through the turnstiles.

With knowing those intricacies comparing the difference between capacity and highest attendance is futile.

When the stadium opened the official capacity was 25,404. I've absolutely no idea if that still rings true or not

You think clubs in include staff, emergency services etc in attendance figures ? LOL. If we included stewards we would be over capacity. Clubs announce figures on tickets sold. They don’t just do it on those coming through the turnstiles. Which is why Old Trafford, the Emirates and Etihad show full attendances for every game but there are often a lot of empty seats as they all have season ticket holders who do not turn up for what they consider the smaller teams.

The Emirates has a lot of empty seats for the bigger teams as well - apparently thousands of season tickets are owned by 'international' fans who attend if they're in London and have nothing better to do - the cost of the season ticket is an irrelevance to personal wealth. There was some talk a few years ago that there was to be a minimum attendance requirement over a season, but not sure anything happened with it.
