This is where I'm at. They're not perfect, KLD and KS, but we're in a much better place than we have been for years.
We are. Definitely.

Also most said we were missing in certain positions, so stop trying to get one over fans. Most have been banging the drum about a cdm n striker with some presence or experience - not just a few people as you are claiming
Its easy saying we should just sign experience but just signing experience doesnt always work - like just saying youth doesnt always work.
The recruitment team must get the balance right this summer n as ive said loads we need more championship ready players

Brilliant post sirMaybe I'm one of the ones that is too positive but, to be honest, I see it as realism. The reality is, under KLD and Speakman we've had two good seasons and a not so good one. Mistakes have undoubtedly been made in various aspects of the running of the club but its important to consider what the cause of those mistakes is and whether they really are mistakes or the cause of circumstance. As I said with regard to Kieffer Moore the other day, there could be any number of reasons over which the club has no control which has prevented them from signing the players we all think we need. The club have been happy to sign experienced players previously under this ownership so there's no reason to think that they won't again, if they can get the right player. On the basis that we've had good season previously under the current set up, there's no reason to think that we won't again. But, if we don't, then the owner will have to ask questions of his Sporting Director.
However, it's easy, when you've already decided you don't like someone, to leap on anything that goes wrong and frame it as proof that they don't know what they're doing.
The difference between a model succeeding and failing is the attitude of the people implementing it. There has to be constant reevaluation of how it's going and what you need to continue its success. Most fail because the people implementing it get stuck at a particular stage, either through lack of money, will or talent, or too much ego, and can't or won't evolve the model to adapt to changing circumstances. All of what we would generally consider to be successful models - Brighton, Liverpool, Brentford - have evolved over the years.
This is where we are at the moment. Whether we evolve or not is up to KLD and KS. We keep being told the money and the will is there. There's no doubt they've improved the club, it's how much further they can go.
Come on own up, who's hacked Prehabs account, that's far too positive
Someone must have got out of the right side of the bed this morning
Only joking mate![]()
All very fair, so what's your verdict ...
... will we evolve.
Precisely mate, the good points with this board is that we can do that in good humour, normallyI have always said the job that has been done is good. But I will also call out things that are not so good.
Would be a boring place if everyone just posted positive stuff all the time when certain things not like that.
We'll probably find out this summer. This is the first real bump in the road so it's the first time we see how they react.
KLD has a huge investment in terms of money, time, effort and reputation ...
... KS has his ego, reputation and current/future employment on the line which I'd imagine is pretty important to him.
It's beyond any doubt, in my mind, that the club want promotion and progress ...
... if you, or anyone else, can give me one decent reason why that's not the case I'm all ears.
I've seen all kinds of vague suggestions but nothing that really made any commercial or practical sense.
For my two pence worth, for this all to work, everyone has to work together on the football side, the off the pitch stuff is totally different.
On the pitch side KLD will set the budget I suppose and then it's all down to KS and the head coach. I think since we got promoted that relationship has broken down a few times. Neil, Mowbray and Beale all came out and said the same thing - even on here we've said the same thing - we have a good team but we don't have that experience to drag the kids through the tough times. All 3 coaches said they wanted that bit of experience in the side and whether that was KS saying no we're sticking with kids or the budget couldn't stretch to cover the fee, wages etc, I doubt we'll ever really know.
Hopefully this season has opened everybody's eyes - KLD included - that we need that experience and to get it we need to pay the going rate.

Have results n performances been good enough recently, nope not at all. But we also have the makings of a cracking team/squad n with a few additions we can challenge for the playoffs next season
We nail the managerial appt and we will do well
We've been in far worse positions in our history n if i look at how some clubs are ran then im pleased with where we are going
Definitely, folk also judge everything on the most recent resultsI think that's what got everyone niggling at each other at times. We all know we've got a decent side but we're only a few players away from being a really good side - it can be frustrating
