11.40am and only had a coffee this morning and about a litre of water. Will have some oats about midday, so soon, with chia seeds and flax, oh and some sultanas, I got raisens but need to use these shhite sultanas up first that I bought cheap...hmm
Nowt to do with digesting them, the remark was purely aimed at the quality of them. Chia seeds ensure you have no problems with digestion.
I know. Sadly though obesity is no longer a joke in the UK, it's become a major costly health problem for the NHS. When I use to go to the states, you could see Americans had an extreme health issue from all you can eat places and fast food, and most of them were tottering about in mobility scooters. Seems the UK is headed the same way. Anyway back on topic, I only post how little I've eaten to give Spurly some encouragement.
COVID killed the all you can eat buffet. Very few left now. Still plenty of old obese people on mobility scooters though
It wasn't just old people it was young people as well, people of all ages, and I certainly don't believe America has resolved this issue, so you are chatting bolloxs. Fast food is still readily available everywhere, and there is no excuses for it, the supermarkets are well stocked with fruit and vegetables. Oh and not to mention the dreaded coca cola.
I'm not sure what you read, but it doesn't sound like a reply to what I wrote. I merely responded the all you can eat is just about dead because of COVID but plenty of old obese people on mobility scooters. Plenty of obese younger people too, although I don't recall seeing any on a mobility scooter any time recently. I'm sure there's some around somewhere.... but it's not like you see one in the typical month. Maybe once a year I'll see someone under 60 on one. There are certainly more fast food than needed. Although inflation and costs are hurting that industry too and more are closing now than opening.
You said there were very few buffets left, so I did a quick google and on tripadvisor there was 85 buffets listed just in Central Florida. I said as I'd mentioned in my earlier post that there are still loads of fast food chains (despite your fake claim about buffets). You said 'Still plenty of old obese people on mobility scooters though' I corrected that to all ages.
Lol... Ok, tourist trap areas they probably survived. And I'm sure there's probably still more than in UK after COVID closed the majority of them here. There are still some here too, but probably about 75% closed down. I actually went to one last week. BBQ buffet... Really good. First time in a long time. There really aren't many people on mobility scooter "of all ages". I know no one personally who uses one and can't remember the last time I saw someone under retirement age on one. Obesity. Yes. Lots of that. Probably not as much as a decade ago, but still I'd say over 50% of population is overweight.
So as I said you do have an obesity problem, 50% is quite shameful and to see that has spread the UK is a fooking disaster (certainly for the NHS). I was reading where McDonalds later this year are going to start targeting low income families in America with a $4 price point menu, that will only aggravate that situation unless they include healthy options within their menus at that price, that's IF then they can persuade people to eat them (healthy options). I accept your point on mobility sccoters,
I think last numbers I read. Overweight was 50% and obesity made up about half of that. Way too high. Fast food in general is taking a pounding at the moment. They took advantage of inflation to rapidly increase cost of products that used to be absurdly cheap. Fast food in general went up in price far faster than anything else. It's over double what it cost five years ago. McDonalds probably reacting to the fact they're losing a lot of customers that they scared away when they rose prices. Usually their healthy stuff isn't healthy... Like salads over 1000 calories, and fruit parfaits that have loads of sugar added.
Yeah I wouldnt' know what McDonalds options are like because I don't often buy anything from them. If I needed a quick fix because I'm about to keel over and one is near-by, then needs must, but can't even remember the last time I bought fast food from say, McDonalds, KFC, and I don't eat Pizzas. Probably had a Spoons breakfast mind, but last time even for that must have been a year ago (except for the beer of course). To be fair to low income families, healthy eating is not cheap. Although having said that, I saw a woman and her fella shopping last week in the supermarket, well over weight and raiding the crisp aisle, trolley full to the brim with goodies lol - I think the words they were using to themselves to justify it was they were on offer.
Obesity in adults It’s estimated that a little over 42% of American adults have obesity, while about 30.7% are overweight. Overall, more than two-thirds of U.S. adults in the United States are overweight or have obesity. That’s pretty much 3 quarters of you guys are hideous fat ****s, so brb, was correct England is about 64% so we are catching you up.
head to somewhere like Benidorm in the winter months to witness our own healthy retirees on there mobility scooters
