Just to add, we have had a radical government in my lifetime and that was the Thatcher government. England is more likely to vote for a radical right government than a radical left one.
It was over in the blink of an eye, but the Truss weeks in power were to be the start of reconstructing this country as a South East Asian sweat shop. We'd have been out of the EHCR and unable to ever regain entry into the EU, given that individual protections and corporate limits would have been construed as 'anti-growth' and done away with, at a stroke. The electorate voted for Thatcher to disassemble British industry, Truss was elected by a sect of ****ing loonies.
And the fact Hester has a track record of racism as demonstrated by the Glassdoor reviews (which I posted earlier) is overlooked entirely
Sunak's spokesperson said he had shown 'remorse'. He has done nothing of the sort...he has denied his remarks were racist but apologised for being 'rude.

And as a sidenote.... The Tories shouldn't give Hester his money back. They should donate it all to a charity of Diane Abbott's choosing. That seems fair

You have to think there is more to it. At times he was looking directly at her, clearly knows her and the circumstances yet selects a final question by the horrid Francois. That has to be a deliberate act - and is an outcome that can only benefit Sunak. Corrupt to the core!
I think he was alternating sides, so he had to pick someone on the other side at the end. There's no reason why he couldn't have gone to Abbott for the question before that, though. He must've known what he was doing and how it would look.
Probably had another visit to his chambers telling him he'd be replaced after the next election if he doesn't play ball
