Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini says his side are not good enough to win the Champions League this season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15889247.stm
To quote Roberto :- "We should be realistic," said Mancini. "I do not think we have a team to win the Champions League this season. "Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Inter Milan all have more experience than us." Just how much experience to you really need to win the CL? Kompany 20 appearances Toure Y 38 Clichy 45 Hargreaves 50 De Jong 33 Nasri 32 Silva 19 Dzeko 10 Aguero 19 Balotelli 16 (Also Wayne Bridge has 26 appearances, Kolo Toure 62 and Carlos Tevez has 22). Must have been a shock for Mancini when Porto won the CL in 03-04 with such inexperienced (in CL terms) players... Honestly, what a load of steaming horse excrement. He's got the players, he just hasn't got a clue how to use them in Europe...
Have to be in the champion league year in year out more than Arsenal or Chelsea. Both are yet to win it.
This. It seems Mancini is diverting the blame away from himself that he is a poor tactician. His team have been doing the work for him in the PL mixed with the fact that teams have just rolled over for them. **** being reserved and negative before the game! We will win! You hear me B4F? WE WILL WIN!
