An update... Ex-Sunderland, Hibernian and Bristol City boss Lee Johnson reveals next move The latest Sunderland AFC news via Callum Jacques https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...ty-boss-lee-johnson-reveals-next-move-4552894
Aww he’s gone a bit downhill (like us) since being the only coach to take us close to playoffs since his dad..
But we had that, and didn’t move forward. Cry all you want about Nige, but the league positions speak for themselves, even this season when he was sacked, we were 15th. Let it go now Red Robin ffs! time to move on and support the new manager.
If they’d released some of the nest egg and brought in a couple of quality additions this season I genuinely feel we’d had a chance, also we’d been able to judge Nige and bin him if he didn’t succeed, because of their pig headedness instead they set Nige up to fell, they were more interested in being smart “nest egg) and stitching up Nige than giving us a chance of success this season. That’s how I see it, and why I was so annoyed,
Your Messiah failed and has departed.........I know it's emotional for you and RR, but guys we've moved on.....hopefully for the better.....
The emotional thing for me is handled correctly we could be in with a shout of the playoffs this season, we should have invested in a few quality players in the summer rather than building a”nest egg”. I don’t care who the manager was.If they didn’t have faith in Nige then they should have got someone else at the point, not drag it out till the middle of this season
I It was sad to see NP go but he was never going to be offered another contract so it was probably the right time for a change, Nigel can get his health issues sorted, recover without stress and be paid up to this summer. I’m not saying LM is the messiah or I love the football style (boring) but he deserves our support
Support has to be earned, so far I’m not overly impressed, my only concern is our club and what’s best for it.
100% with you-it does need to be earned unfortunately Junior Lansdown appointment has not earned his stripes in any way so far.
