It could be a bruise man. Until a scan is done and its confirmed one way or another nobody knows. I miss the days when news outlets reported the news rather than made the news up.
I can almost guarantee it’s not a bruise the way he reacted when the physio lifted his leg. It looks like a ligament issue to me.
I think he will be out for a month or so giving others a chance and also Gordon a break. Which I think he needs anyways.
Bottom line is there's a very likely chance season is over come end of this weekend. Pressure will be off and we'll have to see what happens. There's been injuries galore this season but as others have said that happens to all teams. It's been the morning dump after the lord mayors piss up so far this season and if this season's anything to go by I'd rather we just didn't bother with the **** Euro Vase without a massive summer recruitment drive. The right wing/attacker one is what's really pissed me off this year. It was clear as day to everyone Miggy had a purple patch yet they've chucked a huge wager on him repeating his goal streak this year. The midfield was bolstered but disintegrated the minute Tonali's Trebles became public knowledge. The defence was strong last year and just looks old and stale this year. The keeping situation needs addressing this year, the defence needs addressing this year, the right wing needs addressing this year and another striker needs addressing this year.
Believe me, if its that bad, then he wouldn't - I know from personal experience, is yours from your medical degree?
The Barnes signing that so many didn't understand makes more sense to them now. This is Barnes's chance.. so far it's been a disaster of a signing.
Read somewhere the other day that a number of the players are playing and have been playing through injuries for months with a number of them needing surgery which has been getting put off. Same thing happened with Bruno and Pope last season. This year Burn and Botman are the 2 mentioned the most. The initial injuries I still say weren't Howe's fault. The constantly playing them when not fully recovered is down to him if true. The Murphy shoulder injury was certainly on him. All in all, what a ****ing splendid job Mr Ashworth did during his time here with the medical department and Sports Science department. ****ing wonderful job. Most over rated ****er in football now Beale, Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard have all been found out.
So Howe is playing an injured player? Jesus he really has gone full Southgate if he's doing anything to put out poor players. If he gets a bigger injury it'll be bad luck again I assume ? Fair play to longstaff it's the manager not him if this is true.
Bruno played through injury last year before being operated on at season's end, Pope was the same with a broken finger, Murphy was the same with the shoulder. It's been said Burn and Botman doing the same with their injuries too. It's constant and it's what the medical team are meant to prevent.
That's Howes call and his managerial career has always resulted in extensive injury problems within the squads. The fact he's risked players all the time doesn't mean he's doing the wise or correct thing. Ultimately we're talking about Sean Longstaff not Zinedine Zidane, so it is my opinion that if Longstaff is carrying an injury he should be playing Miley. Howe is responsible for the physical condition of his squad and the decisions he makes are key.... it's his job basically.... he cant blame his coaching team either because he is the manager and he is ultimately responsible for them too. I'm not being unkind, but I'm talking facts regarding credit and criticism.. last season he got his arse licked and rightly so. If this is true I feel sorry for Longstaff because whatever mental anguish he's now struggling with aswel was avoidable.
