I watched the documentary on it, whoever has the biggest gun will be in charge. I can see another @PINKIE Tours outlet there in the future.

I did a quick search and found this.

    https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/r...ve-been-sent-2953500?ico=above_article_ticker

The only reason I read it because it wasn't just all a load of journo bollox, but actually quoting Tory insiders. This adds some weight to what you posted earlier but I reckon Brady may be giving Rishi a heads up on a few letters coming in rather than it being close to the numbers required.

With regards to calling a GE, I agree it's obvious this government is done and it's painful watching them crawl to November.

I think Rishi's made all the wrong choices. I've said it before, he should've pinned his premiership full and square on one nation tory values. Instead he's tried to please the more extremist in his party. I also think it's why he was reluctant to call out the islamophobia and racism.

He's wanted to be Mr Sensible because inherently I think that's what he is, but at the same time he's tried to keep the extremists happy. His stupidity was thinking he could actually get any sort of agreement with them, they're completely unpredictable, completely uncontrollable. It was completely stupid from him. And he's shown himself to be weak, not a leader.

He better be ready to pay protection money. If I was him I'd stick to Gaza.

Oh and something else on Diane Abbott that I hadn't mentioned, has anyone noticed how the media always try and find the worst possible photo of her, during their news stories.Yet I saw her in the Commons today and she had made an effort with her appearance, it's only now seeing the 5pm news that SKY have put up a better picture. It seems to me they do this all the time when someone has been ridiculed. What brought it to my attention was I'd seen some pictures of Abbott when she was a lot younger, it made me realise how awful the media seem to make her look, despite supposedly being in the process of calling people out for their racism, somehow I think they all need to take a closer look at themselves.

Before the last election, I asked my dad what he thought about Dianne Abbott. He’s a wise old sod, my dad. He replied that she had three things against her as a politician in this country; that she’s black, she’s a woman, and she’s not conventionally attractive.

Any one of those could be overcome separately, but taken together they mean she has it all to do to ever get a fair hearing from the U.K. media.

Add to that her left wing views, and she’s done bloody well to achieve what she has in life, against all the odds.

I used to watch her regularly with Michael Portillo on a programne called This Week. Arguably the best politics show on TV for decades. They often sparred on many issues. Both were excellent even though (as you can probably guess) I thought Portillo was full of **** <laugh> Nah tbf the fact of the matter is they often stripped away the usual soundbites and explained and argued things very well... and often impartially against their own parties. Anyone who watched that programme knows Abbott is very intelligent and knows her stuff well. I was gutted when the show stopped.

Mark Drakeford is finally out of Wales.

I cannot stand that blustering old fart, he's turned that country into a dependent on England nanny state

    20mph is so ridiculous.

Anyone who's drove a newish car knows that 20mph is so painfully slow

You'll be essentially driving with a single skin particle on the thing.

In city centres I get, but like, the valleys?

    No 2nd May election

Will be local elections that day, keep an eye on the Greens

They've slowly been creeping into Tory heartlands in the SE

Gives him a Few more months to line his family pockets through Infosys I suppose.

I Can't see any other reason for him continuing to squat in number 10.

It's certainly not to fix anything his disgraced party have destroyed over the last 14 years that's for sure.

I think you overestimate Sunaks power within the government. He's a lame duck PM, he has no control over either the foreign office or the defence minister.

It will be the Tory party who will be giving him the date, they're probably hoping for a bit of a better local elections come May 2nd and a few quiet months after while the economy settles.

Then maybe they can hang on and get a hung Parliament.

At this point tho, I would consider anything below 400 seats for Labour a huge win for Sunak.

    Its been disaster after disaster.
