Groundhog day but we really need to get to the bottom of why we get so many injuries. We're never going to get anywhere if we keep on going into the business end of the season with a decimated squad. Too many minutes for young players maybe or not good enough tech for recuperation.
Not seen anything concrete, he’s had 2748858383 ‘hamstring injuries’ this season then played so fingers crossed
Be a massive boost if he's ok. O9 back after Int break with (hopefully Alese and Evans) I do hope the club analyses and investigates these injuries. The last 3 seasons have been mad for how many we've had
We have invested more into the squad already than we have brought in from player sales, so just wondering why you think they wouldn't be in the summer
Just a hunch. Say if we sold JC for 20m and cleared 15m after paying Spurs I don't think we would reinvest all of that. Our model is to look for potential sort of on the cheap then obviously develop them and make money from them. It's a circle of youth.
I don't think it's ever been stated that's its to be done on the cheap, it's to be done with funds available. As of yet we haven't really had many funds available from player sales
If Ballard and Seelt are indeed both out then the club need to keep it as quiet as they can, as unpalatable as that is for Sunderland fans. Last thing we need is QPR spending all week practising lumping it into the box.
If they are then I don’t want to see us fannying on playing out from the back, compete for the first and second ball and get rid, have two of ba, mundle and Rusyn running the channels and play from there
FWW I'd be bringing in a lad from the U21s to play centre back this weekend. No point preaching on about pathways and then not playing the kids in an injury crisis. Luke Bell meant to be fairly highly rated isnt he?
