The Dirty Six Cartel are trying everything then can to slow us down. But that's all it is, slowing down.
It's almost an impossible task and whatever happens those 6 clubs will be secure. At best Newcastle might become like them and that's no good either. The entire sport is finished and has been for decades...it's played out based on financial rules and laws, but it's dressed up like a sporting contest.
So, why are the majority of the clubs in this league agreeing to such things? They need a majority, they are only 6. Why in god's name would Palace, Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Burnley, Luton, Fulham, Brighton, West Ham, Bournemouth, Wolves and Forest agree to this?
Most the other clubs don't even want to compete with the big 6 and can't, so they don't want it being an 8 and their chances of relegation increasing every season . Only Villa and Newcastle are after it.
I gave up a long time ago! The only hope clubs had of ever competing was remote and it was takeovers. Newcastle actually win the lottery and unfortunately they've changed the rules and there's no pay out. Essentially they didn't stop stopping this takeover just because they passed the owners test. We have to accept football is what it is and Newcastle will just be an also ran at best... in the Premier league and a few good seasons once in a while.... improved but equally fruitless.
I think at some point legal challenges will come in. An independent body won't like this - they're trying to do all they can whilst they can.
Hopefully, but I've said this before and I just don't think the Saudis are that bothered about it. It's just a small investment and they'll just follow the rules. They have bigger investments and more interest in their league. The fact we've still got a manager that was fired at Bournemouth and a team that is being built around players like Sean Longstaff, Dan Burn and Jacob Murphy after almost 3 years tells us everything we need to know. I don't care what anyone says nobody was expecting to still see these **** players in the squad never mind playing and they'll still be playing for years.... 1. Because the money isn't there now and 2. Because the manager wanted to keep them in the 1st place.
No idea where the club goes from here. Not in Europe, so is that something you fire Howe for? Or do you give him another crack? If you give him another go and spend a fair amount of money, is he allowed to finish 7th? Personally I'm done with Howe, and I'm done with crappy English managers. I want some glamour and profile for the club, fresh eyes who can see players like Longstaff and Burn for what they are. We need a completely fresh start. I wonder if the owners are looking at Summer 2026, though? A number of our dross have contracts up to then plus the commercial numbers should support significant investment. Might be another season under Howe. Christ, I looked through our list of managers since Ashley. Kinnear, Hughton, Pardew, Carver, McLaren, Rafa, Bruce, Jones and Howe!! It's like we're ****ing allergic to glamour and ambition.
Cheap crap with the occasional quality stock the major stores didn't fancy. Budget everything... the entire place stinks of peasant to anyone looking closely.
Not even 2 and a half years never mind almost 3 years. You are obviously forgetting your posts which quite rightly pointed out that it was a 5-10 year plan.
And? It’s the good that needs to be quality. Last year our play was quality , who care if that compromised of Longstaff and Murphy etc
