Dealing with issues in a professional and transparent manner - because transparency is the key to demonstrating good governance - is different from 'washing dirty linen in public' You don't accept politicians saying what you want the club to say - we've dealt with it internally and consider the matter closed - so why are you desperate to take the same bullshit from one and not the other?
Yeah agree. The fans deserve to see the level of disciplinary action, given it did indeed cause embarrassment across the fan base and across national media. Some at the club in senior positions have shown that words are empty.
No one needs to leave the forum, you’re all Sunderland fans and for that I love you all. (And no I haven’t had a drink because I’m still dry twatting January)
Guinness posted this otr... As always we've got a decent list of things that we think need to be raised and they likely include the below: - review of actions from the last meeting - BCB update - footballing decisions/ discussion/ aims and targets (naturally I'd expect this to touch on the whole Beale debacle) - season tickets (pricing included) - finance, where do we stand in terms of sustainability rules etc
As we're without a manager, in need of signings and out of the promotion race I'd really hope that doesn't take up valuable time. It seems some want a public hanging before they'll be happy ... ... but, of course, they still wouldn't be happy and will go on about it forever.
Like someone has said, employment law would prevent the club from disclosing employee details, so they are barking up the wrong tree...
Some supporters are demanding statements on every aspect of the club ... ... sorry but it all boils down to people paying to be entertained on a Saturday. We all love the club but some people love the opera as much. They pay their money, enjoy some but not all and don't get to demand the details of what's going on. Supporters aren't entitled to everything they believe they are I'm afraid.
Yeah but think what you are asking of the club. What could they announce? It's probably best to keep stum
Whether the investigation has been concluded and whether action has been taken to remedy the failure. We don't need the blow by blow. You'd hope the club would release as much as they're allowed to in the interests of transparency. Yes, people will fixate on what isn't said but the aim should be to reduce that number of people to an absolute minimum.
And as Smug said, some of our fans would then call bullshit. And the spiral of conspiracy would grow.
I think it's impossible to rationalise with those people tbh. Most people have accepted mistakes are made and put it behind them. If you explain this entire situation, to some people, they'll just move on to the next moan. I'm hoping the club are moving on to things much more important tbh.
