The biggest rats always desert the sinking ship first. Chelsea's defence has been dreadful recently, Terry has to take a large slice of the blame for that. So does AVB, he's got this high line in defence that he seems to like to play. Well, it ain't working at the moment.
Derogative and poorly thought out I wonder which Einstein actually came up with with calling us Spuds... There's just no relation bar the fact that I'm sure 90% of Spurs fans eat them, as does most of the people in the this country for the matter. "I hate Spurs fans, so I'm calling them Spuds as that's hardcore sh*t right there! I'm switching the "r" for a "d" you see, It's clever huh? They'll definitely be offended by it!" - Well done sir, well done, for you!
I'm not sure that all of this was really necessary. How can we talk about other teams? Quite easily. Why wouldn't we be able to? A fan of AFC Wimbledon would be able to point out that Man City, Utd and Chelsea have underperformed so far in this year's Champions League, given their resources. How this appears to have offended an Arsenal fan, let alone convinced him that Spurs fans are deluded, is beyond me.
Is he an Arsenal fan? I can't imagine if he is why he'd snivel like that after their win. Had they lost and he's an Arsenal fan I still cannot see why he posted it on the Spurs board. Well at least one post was right,I said Arsenal would win and Chelsea would lose. Now I'm going to resurrect this same thread for the next CL evening because Chelsea V Valencia makes me drool with expectation.
Why would I pretend to be an Arsenal fan? Again I have to reiterate, I make a valid point then get swarmed, then I miss out a question mark (on an internet forum!) and get mocked at. But should I expect, you are Spurs fans after all.
Oh look, backup's arrived There were some top quotes there but this one was by far soaked in the most bitterness
In fairness regardless of whether they're poorly written or not, most of them are based on past glory, past glory and history means nothing for this season. Man Utd's past won't help them stop in what is fair to say, City's turn to take the league title - though anything can happen ofcourse. I think past glories/ history should be in a separate thread where fans can boast about what they've achieved over others. That way, Utd fans that think they're royalty can gloat as much as they want due to the Fergie era, Liverpool fans can bang on about European glories, Arsenal fans can sing about their unbeaten record and all the Spurs fans can boast about being the first team in the 20th century to do the double. All the fans that care about the current can stick to the usual threads
And congratulations on that, I'm sure you drank 'til the early morning celebrating. I certainly will if we maintain this form and achieve 3rd or higher at the end of the season. But how will that help you this season? You'll finish above us this year by winning more games and hoping we lose a few on the way (and vice versa), your position last year will help you how?
Of course no proper club would lay claim to have won a trophy in a competition that they bribed their way into. Arsenal - the only club in English football history to have been promoted on non-footballing grounds. Even if it was 90+ years ago they should still hang their heads in shame. Cheating is cheating however long ago it was.
Not really - but if I'd been in a position to win stuff based on a bribe I'd be very careful about claiming that history was on my side. History won't affect results this year - that is down to the current teams and Spurs are clearly better than Arsenal for the first time in many years so I'd be very disappointed if we did not finish above them. But its a funny old game so no guarantees.
