I know of the person involved he had a past indiscretion 20 odd years ago running a business that was t really a buisiness , this doesn’t surprise me to be honest shame for his wife , mother and father who were all good people
Someone I loosely know of who unfortunately had to use them for a recent bereavement mentioned the other night that the allegation is that they failed to carry out cremations they'd taken money for, and were "leaving the bodies to rot". This person apparently had to give identifying information about scars, tattoos etc of their deceased relative to police over the phone so that they could determine whether their body was one of those involved.
Anyone with Internet access can find his name and address, don't think he'll be going back there again.
I’m aware of someone who was informed today, that the ashes of their loved one that they’d collected from Legacy, weren’t in fact the ashes of their loved one at all (as the body of their loved one had just been found in an industrial unit off Hessle Road).
This is like summat out of a horror movie when you think it's a bit far fetched, that it couldn't happen in real life. Horrendous. R.I.P. when you eventually find your resting place and peace.
I've heard of other's ashes being passed off as ones returned to bereaved families, but what's the reason for letting bodies pile up in storage units - is it cheaper to cremate a lot at the same time, rather than one at a time, or is it incompetence/laziness?
It is cheaper, and its called a paupers funeral. No-one attends them and Hull City Council recently issued a report claiming the demand for these has increased lately. Who is to know how many bodies are in one coffin due to be cremated? Also were not this firm reported recently for some dodgy financial dealings? Either way its a horrible case.
