Just a progress update, last year we won a total of 15 league matches, to date this season 2023/24 we have won 13 with currently 10 games remaing.
I hope you are right. I can’t see it personally he looks like a man devoid of ideas. He resembles a rabbit caught in headlights. He has a lot of convincing to do if today’s attendance, and fans booing is anything to go by. Letting him loose with the “nest egg” is one hell of a gamble.
Imo if you bring in a new coach, he should be allowed to do things his way, die on his own sword, not someone else’s
probably not the best re arranged fixture... mothering Sunday mid day! BOOING just shows anxiety and lack of goals that we dont seem to have a player that really fits number 9 ... a sort of goal hanger type!
Part of his remit was to improve us this season, so far he’s failed badly, if he fails would we then give him free reign, that’s a hell of a gamble
Progress hasn’t happened since LJs second season. We stopped at that point and treaded water ever since.
You could argue much of the time since has been spent dealing with the financial implications of the LJ rein, granted COVID didn’t help the financial situation either,
You could argue much of the time since has been spent dealing with the financial implications of the end of the LJ rein less than halfway thro the Covid era about 4 month's left with city on about 55? points but season finished 12th ?on 63 points? [ if memory serves...yet to find a replacement for the footstats that gave full info on every season ] did we finish 8th?
Warnock is available to a ‘struggling championship side’ apparently. Interesting that the Scum newspaper specifies ‘struggling’……. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/26741032/neil-warnock-aberdeen-championship-new-club-manager/

Bristol City must be looking at Blackburn Rovers after huge fee claim: View Sammie Szmodics had an unhappy spell at Ashton Gate, he's now one of the most sought after strikers in the land https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/szmodics-blackburn-bristol-huge-fee/
I posted a while back about Sammie. He played 3 games for us - so why buy him? Same with the other guy Mo Eisa. Whatever anyone thinks about LJ, I cannot believe that ANY manager would supervise the purchase of players they had no interest in playing. It has taken Szmodics several years to start firing - and maybe this is ‘his’ season and he will not repeat it again - we shall see. Whatever, we could certainly do with his goals right now……
How long do you keep a player to see if they come good? It's not like we sold him, and he immediately banged in 20 goals this season is it. It happens. Many are slamming Memeheti, yet if we sold him now, and he came good in 5-6 years' time, did we F up....?
A bit out there BCRW! ... WE LOANED HIM TO PETERBRO before selling him and I think he did show he had something, end of the season? we sold him to them .. when they got promoted he supplied the assists along with another player who scored double figure goals 7 & CF had a double barrel name ? was top division scorer Think he scored double figures in Championship with Peterbro and in a couple of seasons has done similar? so far this season on fire!
Tommy Conway wants to move fast for Scotland as he takes his time over Bristol City future Tommy Conway is into the final 18 months of his contract at Ashton Gate https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/all-about/bristol-city-fc
