I think Arsenal will beat City at Emirates and will win every game after that too Could see us doing that also And still end up losing the league
Apparently according to the BBC, out of all our remaining fixtures we favourites to win except when we play Utd and Villa away Man City are favourites in all their remaining matches Arsenal are not favourites in their matches against City, Brighton, Utd and Tottenham. They are only 51/49 favourite over Wolves. In fact the BBC are giving Arsenal no odds away at City https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68481769
Yesterday’s performance exceeded my expectations. Bar a slow start, a great performance. 1 point between the top three. Given our injuries, that is a small miracle for us but we looked like we didn’t really miss them yesterday (we will). City look a bit more fragile than usual but seem to find the results and Arsenal look great but have a tough run in and leading is different, arguably, harder than chasing. It’s the run in; May the best team win…. …….the quadruple
It was an excellent second half, I thought we'd start the match like that and then fade a little so was interesting that it was the other way round. Very unlucky not to win (but also fortunate not to be suckered with the Doku effort off the post, that really would've hurt). I can't even be bothered to talk about the penalty - it's a foul, that's just a fakt. People have been talking about the 'run in' since about December but I guess that's their job - imo it starts right now with 10 to go and we have as good a chance as any.
We gave our best, and we have managed our injuries better this season .Hope is not lost, we are not playing city again this season, Arsenal have to go there and get a result, We have a Derby with Everton. Arsenal have a Derby with Tottenham
The more I think about the pen incident, the more it annoys me. Ref should have stopped the play anyway with a man down in the area and three or four scrabbling over a loose ball almost on top of him.
After seeing the replay i was so busy celebrating since it was "obviously" going to be given that i didn't realise straight away that Var said it was fine .
I'll be city get one just like it when playing some lower half side and everyone saying thats not a pen will say stonewall absolutely right.
hope is not lost? My god. We are 10 games from greatness as houllier woudl say! Once l'arse play man cheaty and its a draw this is in our hands and 10 wins = a title. What do we want before we are heppy? It handed to us before we kick a ball? 10 games to go and we can win the title. Look back at our end of summer thread folks. only the jokers who never take anythign seriously voted for a title or quad. this is excellent
100% That's why I can't even be bothered with it, I've got mates doing the same thing - whatever. Cheat us out of that, cheat us out of the handball one vs Arsenal. Keep em coming.
Like when you look at it to have the premier league title being hugely influenced by rank referring (forget the var arse covering) is not good enough. To decide a clear hand ball scoop is fine by GUESSING and then having the supposed clam head ref bottle a high boot into the chest thats a probabaly a red card in the center circle but certain a yellow is abysmal. How sky lined up and bascially told carragher what to say also was just par for course. thats a possible 4 point swing in the title race thats going down to 1 to 2 points max gap right there.
"Unavoidable coming together" was their verdict. I can't take them seriously. They just make up nonsense terms to justify their decision. A two-footed lunge is unavoidable as well, by that token.
Michael Oliver was a coward, he was close enough to see it. If he had given it, VAR cannot do anything about it.
I keep saying - if you'd said at the start of the season ..... and yesterday was another one of those. Look at that lineup and predict the outcome - nobody would have guessed the outstanding performance that the lads put in. Endo, MacAllister and Bradley taking the ball back for fun, Gomez keeping both Foden and Haaland quiet and another superb performance from Kelleher. Not going to say anything different to what others have said about the late penalty decision, Diaz converts one of his chances and it wouldn't have mattered. Great game from him too other than that. We are still very much in it.
Bradley played league 1 last season. He had alvarez on toast. Ok ne need an extra touch or two and his combination with elliott wasn't great as neither really plaed good passes that gave the other a chance to run but aside from those minr things he didn't put a foot wrong. Quansah has zero trouble off haaland. that is ridiculous. The contrast to thursday with Konate was immense. VVD was bossing that line yesterday he was following haaland and quansah just slotted in either side no prroblem and made good passes and runs and was so unruffled. VVD led him through but he was great. Endo was massively effective at breaking thins up and got on the ball. again vvd was directing him to run wher ehe wante dhis pass. it was immense showing but endo really bodded things for us and kept us in it. Gomez was under massive pressure form foen who actually should have scored. Elliott worked very hard to close down and track back with bradley and also be in the press, and mostly retained the ball and kept it going. Not an RW but when he went to RCM he did well These are the players that micah richards in his city arrogance disrespected by calling out who were missing. No trent he said, not robertson, no konate. What an absolute moron. Nunez for me makes the whole attack tick. Add salah back in and goals will flow. The second gakpo came on we were back to seeing players running away from goal all the time not towards it. Elliott vacated the forward line first half but diaz and nunez tried to make up for it. we are a blunt instrument without nunez. even salah and jota benefit form having him do what he does. We stood toe to toe with city and really we could have scored some and they could have scored some. a draw was probabaly a fair result in the end and for me puts things in our hands to go form here and power through (if we can) Klopp proved again what a keen eye can bring you buy buying endo, the slow arsed blocker who just cut out so many things and then moved the ball on.
It’s fine mate, we were wrongly given the ball back 2 minutes and 5 phases before scoring last week - these things all even themselves out, LiVARpool etc etc etc
