He's hinted that he's going to post something about Salmond tomorrow. Dubious contacts or something. He's a wee greasy plamf.
Is Phil macghollywobble eddieveeee in disguise? Conspiracy, conspiracy. Anyhoo I have some serious doubts about this. He denies any knowledge on the green brigade but is actually a founder member and went and phoned one of his gb mates? So the phil's source is a liar then? And how many of us have a solicitor on tap to keep track of SB interaction? With that starter for ten, everything else loses credibility.
I believe this happened because Phil reported it. He has a responsibility to verify the things he reports. I know he takes this responsibility seriously.
"do you know any members of the Gb?" "no" "I phoned my mate in the GB when I got out" At the very least he lied and presumably also lied on the PTA form. not exactly reliable is he?
I made exactly that point on another forum. I imagine the guy was blowing his hole a bit, but the substantive point of special branch questioning about the GB is the real focus of the piece rather than the fleshing out of it. I'd believe that.
Just a thought. Whilst AQ and extremist Muslims are a threat, republican terrorism "hasn't gone away, you know." It wouldn't be a surprise to anyone that SB in Belfast might be more interested in local issues than international. Bearing in mind the kicking that MI5 and other services took over their failure to track the 7/7 bombers who appeared on the periphery of other targets, what's to say that this guy isn't on the periphery of such targets? Wouldn't it then be better that SB are taking an active interest in these people rather than ignoring them? This blog is the usual public reaction to big institutions/ government departments - damned if you do, damned if you don't.
The unnamed **** in question is a liar - that much is obvious. "Plod asked 'Do you know anyone in the GB'? 'No' I lied. So anyway I phoned a mate who's in the GB." 'I was in George Sq feeding the pigeons' -
I don't believe him because when being interrogated he decided to lie.... Thank **** you don't work for MI5
Why lie if you've nothing to hide? Unless he did have something to hide....hmmmmmm....maybe the fuzz are on the right track with this lying ****. Or maybe it's all made up.
MTS why is there a need to lie about the green brigade? For my tuppence worth, one of two things have happened here. One, this guy has flagged up on the special branch's system for one reason or another and they have spoken to him. No biggy and that is what we would all expect. Or two, this is a steaming pile of raphael. Either way, there isn't really any need to deny knowledge of the green brigade, whether in fact or fiction, unless there is something else to hide. Like I said earlier, how many of us have a solicitor on tap to keep records of any interaction we have with the special branch? (Is that a third option? Damn! <spanishinquisitionsmiley>)
