We've got the hardest run-in by far. Still need to play those teams you mention, plus we have Man City away after the International break, Man United away and Chelsea (no matter how poor they are right now, Chelsea are still rivals and will get joy in spoiling the party). I've said this before, but I really do think that run of 1 win in 7 back in December will cost us the league. Which will be gut-wrenching.
It will go right to the wire, and I'm not sure at this stage who will win it after yesterday! I was convinced it would be City but a few cracks are appearing. The only thing I am sure about is that we will have a huge say in deciding who the eventual Champions are ..
I said in the "season compass" months ago that it could be like 2009-10 for Spurs (where the teams in the top 3 were facing a team itself in a fight for 4th place) . We shall see if we reach that point in the fixtures and Spurs are both on form + still in the fight.
I make Varpool favourites to win the league, nobody has had a decision against them since the Spurs match, it`s Klopp`s final season party that nobody will want to have spoiled, the constant whining and playing of the victim card to try and engineer yet more favour with officials and their players look to be back on the PED`s.
They should have had a penalty yesterday tbf... and I still do not get why their "goal" in the league cup final was disallowed
It’s worth remembering that there are still 10 games to play - which is more than a quarter of the season - so we hardly on the home stretch yet. Arsenal could still miss out on a top 4 place! You’re only a final day England batting collapse away from going from title challengers to 15 points adrift
I have stated this season that I believe 76 pts will be required to finish PL top 4. So on that basis do you believe that any of the current top 3 will not finish with at least that many pts + have their GD bettered by any team currently below them ??
I can't see Arsenal dropping more than around 9 points of their remaining 30 and we are currently 11 adrift of them, albeit with a game in hand. Top 4 should be fine for them but they do have the harder run in while City probably have the easiest. I think it'll finish: City 88 Liverpool 88 Arsenal 85 And go to GD. I can't see us dropping fewer than 7 points, so the maximum we could get is 79 which, while unlikely, would be our second highest points tally of the PL era and a phenomenal achievement.
