Don't be surprised if you get little response, my friend. There are so-called Spurs fans on this board who, whilst professing a love for the club, have an anal aversion to actually expressing any confidence in the side. I apologise for that.
It seems everyone who doesn't want to tell other team's supporters that we are going to thrash them in every competetion is a traitor. Any doubts must be eradicated.
I think in a way I do actually agree to an extent with HIAG's comment. I've seen some Spurs fans post about how 4th has to be the target and any higher is a bonus. Where HIAG, and myself in fairness along with some others, see 4th as more of a must and that on current form especially and with the squad we actually have anyway, 3rd and above should be our target with 4th being seen not so much as a disappointment, but a case of settling for it knowing we could/ should have done better. This season I think is the first time we should really be aiming to be top dogs in London. On paper our squad is better than Arsenal's and I certainly believe that a lot of our players would walk into the Chelsea first team too, thus giving me the reasons and confidence to say that 3rd and possibly higher needs to be our target, otherwise we'll never be considered a so called "top dog2 or title challenger in the league if we're consistently setting low(ish) targets. Telling opposition teams fans we'll thrash them is perhaps a bit over the top I agree, but I don't blame him for being ambitious with our aims.
