One of our (Aussie) lady footballers has been charged with racial vilification for calling a copper a 'stupid white bastard'. Now,if she is found guilty (don't hold your breath) it will demonstrate some sense of even handedness on the part of the judiciary, but should she get away with it (let your breath out now) not only would it seem to be a bias against certain sections of the populace, but it will also create a whole can of worms as a legal precedent when referring to people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds as such. "May we all live in interesting times".
I've always said that there is a bias towards blacks. on that topic, in London there is a play or something on for two nights which is for a black only audience. the person involved is saying it's away from the white gaze. Ironically one of the leads is played by a white male. Now if that was the other way round, there would be demonstrations outside the theater and the police would probably class it as a hate crime.
