We played very well first half and should have gone in at least 1 up. Second haf they turned the screw and got the goal. Extra time was a blur - a bit like Lazarus in a blue shirt. Thanks for O'Dowda.
My Tractor Boy friends have got back here so I showed them the Canary's result. Nothing like a bit of sympathy. Anyway, their thoughts were that overall we deserved it and did enough to have had it won in the first half. They also thought our boss got the starting lineup dead right and used the subs brilliantly. Looks like they are staying over so I'll continue to console them with rum.
Four on the bounce and five without losing. Thirteen points from a possible fifteen. Only two other clubs equal to that from the past five games. A real confidence boost for all concerned. I can't think that complacency will come into it, but it's important for everyone that we have the right attitude next time out. A few months back we'd have all agreed that a clean sweep of the derbies would be nigh on impossible. Yet here we are with chance if just that. This message is fuelled by Appleton's Special and blooooooobirds.
I had a variety of emotions. Thinking I was getting a correct result at 0-0. Lost that. Was sitting pretty with a correct score. Followed by the disappointment of losing that and the ecstacy of a Bluebirds win.
Nearly all our bad losses are from the defensive way Bulut set us up. Now surely he has seen the light, we can play fast one touch passing and attack sides. If Bulut keeps this way of playing for the rest of the games then fair enough but if we see one more of these defensive sit back and let them attack us games we cannot trust him. I may not like some of the players but as long as we play like that and give us a chance to win then I will not complain.
