There's a Brawn, so it must be 2009. And there's a long, wide start-finish straight with the pits on the drivers' right. There's a grass verge and the track surface looks mature, so it's probably a European circuit. Monza?

Very good, but the question was not 'Who is it?' but 'What race was this?'. Not really fair though I admit, as there's not much in the picture to give a clue as to the venue. Quite right. Apparently he mistakenly selected first gear instead of second, which is what tipped him into the spin.
Do that on F1 2010 with no flashbacks, often I would like to sit on my toilet and cry when I **** up a race half way through IN CAREER MODE.
