Weird one. We’re winning comfortably enough, which is great, but we’re doing so because they’ve been awful rather than us being good.

Hopefully step it up in the second half, because I suspect they will.

I do wish Bazunu would stop playing those 50 yard grass cutters through the middle to Che. They so rarely come off, and it just puts us under pressure again.

 

I’d like to see Kamaldeen in this one (I know I always say that, but their CBs both on yellows and playing a high line).

 

Kind of backs up what I've been saying about RM. He can't literally get on the pitch and put the ball in the net himself. Yet if Sunderland somehow get back into this, it will be Russ that everyone slags off.

 

Bloody good half of footy from Saints. Some of the long passing through the centre has been sensational. Carving sunderland open at will at times, just lacking with the final ball so far. Deserved lead.

 

If we get a third, I want to see Dibling get some minutes.

 

It says something that Adam Armstrong has scored so many goals despite being a woeful finisher!
