Bamford scores just before half time. 1-0 to Leeds. Wednesday had some good spells but didn't capatalise. Always felt they looked vulnerable though and playing a high line.
First half was pretty even. But this half, there's quite a difference; Wednesday aren't in it at all.
That goal difference is an extra point too if it came down to a close run in. Fair play to Leeds, they've been phenomenal this year. Am going to wash my mouth out now, I feel dirty saying that
That games gone & it’s a bit of a stretch for us now. Leeds on a roll. Saints stuttering & even it we get it together we have to rely on the others failing. I always remember someone saying better we lose the autos with a number of games to go so we can reset & be ready for the playoffs. Looks like that’s coming to fruition.
We need to prepare for the playoffs. At least we won’t be facing Leeds. Last game going to be a celebration match for them.
I've said for ages that I don't want to face Leeds in the play-offs. Indeed, out of all the top three, they are the side who I would want to face the least. Hence Leeds helping their automatic chances tonight is no disaster.
I don't think so. Us finishing in the play-offs with Leeds is the last thing I want. I mean, I'd rather we finished 2nd and avoided the play-offs altogether. But that isn't happening. So I hope that it will at least be us in the play-offs without Leeds. Yet right now, there remains a real possibility that they won't get automatic.
For all their attacking quality, Leeds' defensive record is amazing. Just 28 goals conceded (and seven of them came way back in August). I think only six times have they conceded more than a single goal.
