Spurs have been thru it before, with Ossie + Ricky in 1982.

Make it public, and seek the decent home supporters who
would swap en masse their seats around the dugout to
ensure no moron can get close enough for bad antics.

I think away matches are the greater concern.

And even at home, I've always found security at certain gates to be extremely lax. Very easy to sneak a weapon in without much resistance.

The player could be the difference between a CL slot or not.
So the club is going to be forced to not field him,
even at home, because of some moron antics relating
to a conflict whose actors are nothing to do with the UK ??

    1. Unacceptable.
    2. Not in the spirit of THFC supporters past.

Not entirely convinced that Penny Pugwash has hit on a positive excuse for Donelan here... especially as the £16k would have been for less than a week in post....and her hubbie had recently picked up £millions in dodgy PPE contracts!

Hardly running... And wasn't this clip from last June when the Groups annual meeting was held?
Agree it's all very clandestine stuff, but attendance is pretty much an A-Z of political elites. You could argue that an incoming Government needs to at least have an inside line on discussion topics.

When you have Streeting cosying up to Tufton Street, while Reeves and Kendall are putting the "dick" into "Dickensian", I'm wondering what the inside line actually is

Hey CK, I know you wrote this post on the Villa match thread, but I didn't want to derail it into a huge political/Middle East argument on there because it wasn't the appropriate thread for it. So I've quoted your post and moved it on here instead.

Look, I'll level with you. I know exactly what you're insinuating and the reasons why Solomon isn't playing. In normal circumstances, I would be a lot more brazen in condemning the amount of threats towards footballers. But when the player in question has been openly supporting and justifying the actions of Israel toward the Palestinians on his social media, with no remorse whatsoever, then I have very little sympathy for the backlash he is getting. I also know other Spurs fans that really don't like him and want him to leave the club as soon as possible. It is what it is.

Maybe don't support genocide as a high-profile person if you don't want people to abuse you.

That is assuming whether he's actually received those threats in the first place

He can thank the likes of Tracy-Ann Oberman for making me suspect this claim, considering how she routinely claims to be too afraid to leave the house due to receiving death threats...and then posts photos of herself in restaurants within the hour alongside other professional victims like Rachel Riley

Especially if this is the mental gymnastics we're starting to hear, which of course goes unchallenged

That's a strange thing to do, given that they are not about politics and skirted that issue until a visitor from another forum made them so with his own agenda.

I couldn't comment to this as I made a very healthy decision a few months ago to take a big step back from discussing politics on any internet forum, this one included. I just stick to banter, ****s and giggles and I am far better off for it.

Separate to this, I also made a decision almost a year ago to delete all my social media accounts permanently (the only one I have active is Facebook marketplace as I love a bargain, me). Again, one of my few very sensible decisions. I have no idea what the player has or hasn't said on social media.

My only surprise is that a moderator of this board has decided that a comment about a player's continued absence was apparently "political".

My only conclusion is that said moderator was influenced by your own response to the post, a response you are perfectly entitled to but not one I had any intention of evoking when I posted in the first place as I said nothing about the conflict in the Middle East.

But then again, some might argue that in the grand scheme of things everything boils down to politics, so I look forward to said moderator moving team news to this thread too.
