She is a terrific asset for our club. 1st thing I want to know if I am going to take a job somewhere is am I going to be working for good people? and she's a great advert for that, really hands on out there visibly flying the flag for Newcastle, sticking up for the lasses, getting stuck into contract negotiations with players etc. Very fortunate to have her at the club.

He was tired of the bullying and didn't want to go on and he said this himself in his interview. I think she's referring to that rather than he wasn't turning up for work.
It doesn't surprise me at all tbh, I remember the players saying they were unfit at the start of the 21/22 season because Bruce's training sessions were slack and he gave them so many days off, hence our dogshit start that season. Makes sense that he couldn't be bothered himself. I remember one of the financials in the take over was the new owners negotiating about £3m off the buying price, so they could sack Bruce immediately.
