Crane has joined Glamorgan on loan for the 2024 season. I was expecting this as he didn't feature much in the T20 last season.

 

Good to see that we can recall him whenever we want though. He might be available for the whole 50 over competition this year (Spirit didn't retain him yesterday, though he might yet be picked up in the 100 draft later this month), in which case I would want him back for that.

Why do we seem to be able to either start really well then collapse, or start awfully before performing a rescue job in the middle order? If we ever piece it together we'll be brilliant!

Shame England are getting absolutely hammered in the test where he'll pick up his 700th wicket.

 

Possibly , doubt he’ll beat or even tie with Murali .

Personally I would like to see him get to 701 in this test and then retire , go out on top

Yeah I doubt he will ever get close to 800.

I can't see any reason to retire now though. India is the absolute hardest place to take wickets for a seamer and he has taken wickets and kept a good economy. He is still one of our best bowlers, may as well give it another summer and see what condition he is in after that.
